Abstract

A fishing tackle device comprising a landing net-like bag (2), wherein bait (18) is placed at the opening of the bag (2).

Description

A fishing tackle device coπiprisiiig a landing net
This invention regards a fishing tackle device. More particularly, it concerns a fishing tackle comprising a landing net-like bag, wherein the fish is caught by moving the bag when the fish is positioned over the bag opening.
It is common knowledge that fishing tackles exists in many forms. It is known to catch fish with a landing net in order to securely land fish that has been caught by use of a fish hook.
The object of the invention is to provide a method of fishing whereby the fish may be caught in a gentle manner, thus allowing it to be put back if so desired, without causing injuries of any significance.
The object is achieved in accordance with the invention, by the characteristics stated in the description below and in the appended claims . A net-like bag, possibly shaped like a cornet and made from a relatively fine-meshed material, is connected with a fixture at the opening.
Preferably the fixture constitutes a relatively non- deformable material such as a metal wire. Preferably the fixture is connected to a tool designed to be operated by a person who is fishing. Advantageously a body is connected to the lower portion of the bag in order to make the bag assume a favourable shape when in water.
Bait is placed by the opening of the net-like bag. When the bag with the bait is placed in the water and a fish swims up to the bait, the bag is lifted, so that the fish ends up in the bag before it can swim away. The bag containing the fish is then lifted out of the water, whereupon the fish can be removed from the bag.
After being fished by use of the device of the invention, the fish is unharmed.
Thus the fishing tackle is particularly well suited for catching fish which is to be examined and/or treated before being put back into the water.
The following describes a non-limiting example of a preferred embodiment illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 shows the fishing tackle in a preferred embodiment, and
Figure 2 shows the fishing tackle after a fish has been caught. In the drawings, reference number 1 denotes a fishing tackle comprising a bag 2 made from a relatively fine-meshed net. Along the edge 4 of it its opening, the bag 2 is fixed to a fixture 6 in the form of a metal wire. At the lower end of the bag 2 is a spherical body 7 arranged so as to cause the bag 2 to assume a favourable shape when in water.
Three attachment lines 8 extend a distance up from the fixture 6 to a main line 10 connected to the attachment lines 8. The attachment lines 8 are preferably connected to the fixture 6 in an evenly spaced manner along the fixture 6.
The main line 10 extends up to where it is connected to a rod 12 arranged to be operated by a person fishing. The length of the main line 10 between the attachment lines 8 and the rod 12 may be adjusted in a manner that is known per se.
A bait line 14 runs from the fixture 6 to one of the attachment lines 8. The bait line 14 is fitted with a bait holder 16 in the form of a safety pin-like fastener on which bait 18 may be placed.
When the bag 2 of the fishing tackle 1 is lowered into the water with accompanying bait and then held still, a fish 20 that detects the bait 18 will swim up to the bait 18.
The fisherman moves the bag 2 by means of the rod 12 , the main line 10, the attachment line 8 and the fixture 6, so that the bag 2 encloses the fish 20, see figure 2, and further up to the surface, where the fish 20 may be removed from the bag 2.
In an alternative embodiment (not shown) the rod is connected directly to the fixture 6, and the bait line 14 with the bait holder 16 runs diagonally across the fixture 6 and also the bag 2 opening.
