Abstract

An adapter of chrome-nickel steel for the weld connection of the switch part of manganese steel and the rail of carbon steel said adapter contains in % weight 0,06% up to 0,09% of carbon, 0,5% of manganese as a maximum, 0,3% up to 1% of silicon, 0,69% up to 0,9% of niobium, 8.0% up to 9,0% nickel, 18,5% up to 19,5% chrome, the balance being iron and unavoidable impurities.
