  • the shortened dialing server 54 receives the shortened dialing number, searches the subscriber DB 55 for an actual phone number, and then reads the actual phone number. If the phone number is read, the shortened dialing server 54 transmits the phone number to the originating MSC 53. In this way, the originating MSC 53 stores therein the phone number received from the shortened dialing server 54. The originating MSC 53 executes a call process in response to the call setup message, and the originating base station 52 informs the originating MSC 53 of the completion of the allocation of wireless resources. If the allocation of wireless resources has been completed, the originating MSC 53 translates the phone number of the called terminal 59, which has been previously stored, and transmits a call setup message to the destination MSC 57. Further, when a wireless link is established between the destination base station 58 and the called terminal 59, the called terminal 59 is connected to the calling terminal 51 to enable a communication to be performed therebetween.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système permettant de fournir un service de numérotation raccourcie reposant sur un réseau de télécommunication. Ce procédé consiste : à recevoir un signal de numérotation raccourcie provenant d'un terminal émetteur, lequel signal de numérotation raccourcie comprend au moins un identificateur de numérotation raccourcie ainsi qu'un numéro raccourci ; à extraire le numéro raccourci du signal de numérotation raccourcie sur la base de l'identificateur de numérotation raccourcie ; à envoyer le numéro raccourci extrait à un serveur de numérotation raccourcie ; à recevoir un numéro de téléphone correspondant au numéro raccourci du serveur de numérotation raccourcie ; et à créer un canal de numérotation à l'aide du numéro de téléphone, lequel serveur de numérotation raccourcie extrait le numéro de téléphone stocké en connectant le numéro raccourci.
