Abstract

This invention is about a panty-type garment without a back portion usually present in the garment of prior art to eliminate discomforts such as reflecting panty-line in the wearer’s buttock, being caught in the wearer’s buttock cleft, or obstruction of free air flow. The invention is a panty-type garment with a waist band portion, a front portion, a crotch portion, and two thigh-encircling portions, wherein each of said two thigh-encircling portions is extended from the posterior end of said crotch portion and encircles wearer’s each thigh.

Description

PANTY-TYPE GARMENT
[Technical Field]
Panty-type garments
[Background of the invention]
In the prior art, a panty-type garment is composed of a waist band
portion, a front portion, a crotch portion, and a back portion. The back
portions of the panties in the prior art usually cause some discomforts
such as reflecting panty-line in the wearer's buttock, or being caught in
the wearer's buttock cleft. Furthermore, The back portions cause pressure
and hinders free air flow in the groin area by lifting up the crotch
portions of the conventional panty-type garments.
[Disclosure of the Invention]
This invention is about a panty-type garment comprising, a waist band
portion, a front portion, a crotch portion, and two thigh-encircling band
portions, wherein each one of said thigh-encircling band portions is
connected to the posterior end of said crotch portion.
In the conventional panty-type garment, the back(buttock) portion
connects the crotch portion to the waist band portion, whereas in this
invention the posterior end of the crotch portion is fixed to a thigh-
encircling band portion. As shown in Fig. 1 the present invention consists of a panty-type
garment comprising a waist band portion 1, a front portion 2, a crotch
portion 3, and two thigh-encircling band portions 5, wherein the
posterior end of said crotch portion 3 is devided in two and connected to
said thigh-encircling band portions 5.
Forming connection portion 4 between said crotch portion 3 and said
thigh-encircling band portion 5 is accomplished by attaching posterior
end of said crotch portion to the outer surface of each one of said
thigh-encircling band portions. As the method of forming said connection
portion one can freely adopt conventional joining method such as sewing,
using Velcro tape, using snap buttons, etc.
Fig. 2, fig. 3, and fig. 4 show respectively front view, side view, and
back view of the present invention in the wearer' s outfit.
For thigh-encircling bands, it is desirable to use some elastic
substance, but not necessarily so.
Fig. 5 and fig. 6 shows another embodiment wherein lateral portions
such as lateral bands 6 or lateral sheets 7 are added to the embodiment
described above. Said lateral bands 6 or said lateral sheets 7 prevent
slipping down of a thigh-encircling band portion 5 by connecting said
thigh encircling band portion to a waist band portion 1.
Fig. 7 shows another embodiment wherein the postrior end of said crotch
portion is extended to form each thigh-encircling band portion wherein the extended portion and the end point of the extended portion form a
connection portion 4 by side-to-end connection.

[Best Mode for Carrying out the Invention]
As shown in Fig. 1 the present invention consists of a panty-type
garment comprising a waist band portion 1, a front portion 2, a crotch
portion 3, and two thigh-encircling band portions 5, wherein the
posterior end of said crotch portion 3 is devided in two and connected to
said thigh-encircling band portions 5.

[Industrial Applicability]
A panty-type garment according to this invention consists of a waist
band portion, a front portion, a crotch portion, and thigh-encircling
band portions. By eliminating the back portion which is crossing the
buttock area of the wearer of the conventional panty-type garment, the
invention solves the problems of discomforts such as reflecting panty-
line in the wearer's buttock, being caught in the wearer's buttock cleft,
or obstruction of free air flow.

Claims

1. A panty-type garment comprising:
a waist band portion;
a front portion;
a crotch portion;
two thigh-encircling band portions;
wherein each one of said thigh-encircling band portions encircles
wearer's each thigh and is extended from the posterior end of said a
crotch portion.
2. A panty-type garment described in claim one, wherein lateral
portions(p6 or p7) are added to connect thigh-encircling band portions 5
to waist band portion 1.
