Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de déshydrogénation d'un composé aromatique alkyle, de type éthylbenzène, en composé aromatique vinyle, de type styrène. Ce procédé implique la déshydrogénation d'un composé aromatique alkyle au moyen d'un catalyseur contenant au moins un élément de terres rares sur un support catalytique, principalement dépourvu d'oxydes de fer et de métal du groupe des platineux; ou au moyen d'un catalyseur oxyde mixte contenant au moins un élément de terres rares et au moins un autre élément métallique sélectionné parmi aluminium, cobalt, chrome, manganèse, et des mélanges de ceux-ci; ou au moyen d'un mélange desdits catalyseurs. Eventuellement, le débit d'entrée de déshydrogénation peut contenir un alcane, de type éthane, qui est simultanément déshydrogéné en alcène, de type éthylène. Ce procédé de déshydrogénation peut être intégré à un procédé de production de composé aromatique vinyle, de type styrène, à partir d'une matière première constituée d'un alcane et d'un composé aromatique, de type éthane et benzène.
