Description

ENGAGING STRUCTURE OF ASSISTANT GLASSES FOR GLASSES
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to an engaging structure of assistant
glasses for glasses, and in particular to an engaging structure of assistant
glasses for glasses in which an engaging hole is formed in an inner side of a
noise leg connecting lens frames of glasses, and an angle shaped support
member having an elastic hinge is provided in the nose leg of the assistant
glasses, and a spherical part provided in the angle shaped support member of
the assistant glasses is engaged to the engaging hole of the noise leg of the
glasses for thereby achieving tiltable assistant glasses.
2. Description of the Background Art
The glasses are generally classified into an eyesight correction glasses
and an eyesight protection glasses. There are several methods of using the
assistant glasses such as sunglasses, a magnifying glass, etc. used for the
eyesight protection by engaging to the glasses used for the eyesight correction.
For example, an attaching part (magnet) is formed in a fixing part of the
inner side of the hinge point to which a glasses leg is engaged, and the
attaching parts are engaged with each other. When the assistant glasses are not used, the assistant glasses are separated and stored. In this case, a certain
variation may occur in the magnetic force, and the assistant glasses are easily
escaped from the glasses.
As another part, a groove is formed in the inner wall of the fixing part of
the hinge connected with the glasses leg, and a protrusion is formed in the
support member formed in the outer side of the assistant glasses. As the time of
use is passed, a certain variation occurs in the hinge point connected with the
glasses leg, so that the assistant glasses may be disconnected. As another part,
there is provided a certain part in which a ring provided in the upper side of the
lens frame of the assistant glasses is inserted into the upper side of the lens
frame of the glasses. In this case, when the ring of the assistant glasses is
extended, when engaging to the lens frame of the glasses, there is a certain
obstacle in the visual field of the user, so that there are many inconveniences.
In addition, since there are further various parts for engaging the
assistant glasses to the glasses, the above parts are not actually used.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide an
engaging structure of assistant glasses for glasses that is capable of overcoming
the problems encountered in the conventional art and achieving a stable
engagement of the assistant glasses with respect to the glasses and preventing
a variation and disengagement. When the assistant glasses are not used, the assistant glasses are upwardly tilted for thereby achieving an easier use of the
assistant glasses.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The preferred embodiments o the present invention will be described with
reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 is a disassembled perspective view of the present invention;
Figure 2 is a vertical cross sectional view of a major part of the present
invention; and
Figure 3 is a perspective view of a major part of the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
The preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described with
reference to the accompanying drawings.
In the present invention, a pair of lens frames 1 and 1a are connected
using a nose leg 2. Hinges 3 and 3a are provided at both outer sides of each of
the lens frames 1 and 1a and are connected with glasses legs 4 and 4a. In the
thusly constituted construction, an engaging hole 11 is formed in an upper
surface having a pair of protrusions 10 in the inner surface of the nose leg 2. A
pair of angle shaped support members are provided on the upper surface of the
noise lens 7 of the assistant glasses 6. A groove 21 and an operation groove 22
are provided on the front end of the angle shaped support member 20 for thereby accommodating a spring 23 and an elastic pin 24 therein. A support bar
25 is inserted and engaged using a pin 26 for thereby constructing an elastic
hinge A in the above manner. The support bar 25 of the assistant glasses 6
having a spherical part 28 having a longitudinally extendable groove 27 is
engaged with the engaging hole 11 of the glasses 5 at the end of the support bar
25 of the elastic hinge A.
The operation of the present invention will be described in detail.
The protrusion 10 is provided in the inner wall of the nose leg 2 of the
glasses 5. The engaging hole 11 is formed on an upper surface of the protrusion
10. In the above construction, the glasses have a good outer visual appearance
because the protrusion 10 and the engaging hole 11 are not exposed to the
outside. Therefore, it is possible to achieve a beautiful outer visual appearance,
and the glasses according to the present invention may be used as glasses for
the purpose of the eyesight correction.
In addition, the groove 21 and the operation groove 22 are provided at
the front end of the angle shaped support member 20. The spring 23 and the
elastic pin 24 are accommodated in the groove 21 and the operation groove 22.
The support bar 25 is inserted into the operation groove 22 and is engaged
using the pin 26 for thereby achieving an angle shaped support bar 20 of the
elastic hinge A. The angle shaped support bar 20 of the elastic hinge A is
engaged on the upper surface of the nose leg 7 of the assistant glasses 6.
Therefore, the angle shaped support member 20 having a pair of elastic hinges A is provided on the upper surface of the nose leg 7 of the assistant glasses 6.
In addition, there is provided a spherical part 28 in the support bar 25 of the end
of the elastic hinge A in the longitudinal direction together with the extendable
groove 27.
In the present invention, when it is supposed to engage the assistant
glasses 6 to the glasses 5 of the present invention, the support bar 25 of the
angle shaped support member 20 provided in the nose leg 7 of the assistant
glasses 6 is inserted into the engaging hole 11 formed in the inner wall of the
nose leg 2 of the glasses 5. As shown in Figure 2, the outer diameter of the
spherical part 28 of the assistant glasses 6 is decreased in the extendable
groove 27 for thereby achieving a stable insertion and engagement.
In addition, the assistant glasses 6 is engaged to the support bar 25 and
the angle shaped support member 20 using the pin 26, and the spring 23
inserted into the groove 21 of the angle shaped support member 20 is elastically
supported by the elastic pin 24 positioned in the operation groove 22 for thereby
achieving a desired hinge operation with respect to the pin 26 and an easier use
of the assistant glasses.
When the assistant glasses 6 are not used, the assistant glasses 6 is
upwardly tilted from the glasses 5, and the assistant glasses 6 maintains an
upright state with respect to the pin 26 of the elastic hinge 26 beyond the upper
point of the lens frames 1 and 1a of the glasses 5. When the assistant glasses 6
are moved down from the upright state, since the lenses of the glasses 5 and the assistant glasses 6 are positioned at a certain position, it is possible to
upwardly tilt and downwardly tilt the assistant glasses 6 from the glasses 5 for
thereby achieving an easier use of glasses. In the preferred embodiment of the
present invention, the eyesight correction lenses are inserted into the lens
frames 1 and 1a of the glasses 5, and the eyesight protection lenses or
magnifying lenses are inserted into the assistant glasses 6.
In the present invention, when the assistant glasses 6 are supposed to be
separated from the glasses 5, the support bar 25 of the assistant glasses 6
inserted into the engaging hole 11 of the nose leg 2 of the glasses 5 is pulled out.
Namely, the support bar 25 is pulled upwardly, and the extendable groove 26 of
the end of the support bar 25 positioned on the spherical part 27 is contracted,
and the dimension of the spherical part 28 is decreased as compared to the
inner diameter of the engaging hole 11 and is disengaged to the outside for
thereby separately storing the same. Since there is not any interfering obstacle
in the engaging hole 11 of the glasses 5, an easier use of the assistant glasses
is achieved.
In the present invention, there is provided an angle shaped support
member in which an engaging hole is provided in an inner side of the nose leg of
the glasses, and the elastic hinge is provided in the nose leg of the assistant
glasses. The support bar of the end of the angle shaped support member of the
assistant glasses is inserted into the engaging hole of the inner side of the noise
leg for thereby achieving a stable engagement. It is possible to prevent a certain deformation and an escape of the assistant glasses. When the assistant glasses
are not used, the assistant glasses are upwardly tilted with respect to the elastic
hinge. When separating the assistant glasses, the engaging hole formed in the
inner wall of the glasses leg is not exposed for thereby achieving a good outer
visual appearance.
In the angle shaped support member, the engaging hole is provided in the
nose leg of the glasses, and the elastic hinge is provided in the nose leg of the
assistant glasses for thereby achieving an engaging member of the glasses and
the assistant glasses, so that it is possible to stably engage the assistant
glasses to the glasses. An escape of the assistant glasses is prevented. When
the assistant glasses are not used, it is upwardly tilted for thereby achieving an
easier use of the glasses. Even when the assistant glasses are separated, the
engaging member is not exposed in the glasses. Therefore, an outer visual
appearance is obtained. The present invention may be well actually adapted.
As the present invention may be embodied in several forms without
departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof, it should also be
understood that the above-described examples are not limited by any of the
details of the foregoing description, unless otherwise specified, but rather should
be construed broadly within its spirit and scope as defined in the appended
