Abstract

The invention relates to a showcase for displaying objects. One of the lateral faces of said showcase is configured as a glass door whose exterior face, when closed, in the area of the outer edge, terminates flush with a lateral face of the showcase, thereby occluding the interior of the showcase vis-à-vis the surroundings in a dust-tight or air-tight manner. For this purpose, elastic sealing strips are mounted in the range of motion of the door. The door is mounted on a guide device in such a manner that it can be slid laterally in a parallel manner until it completely releases the door opening. For opening the door, the corresponding lateral face (5) is slid back or the door is displaced forward to such an extent that the front edge (7) of the lateral face (5) allows the inside (8) of the door (3) to pass.
