Abstract

An inventive rhombic antenna array structure is arranged to form a pyramid and is designed to operate with a beam forming network, enabling s shaped radiation patterns to be produced over a predetermined coverage/range. The resultant pyramid configuration advantageously has high inherent rigidity, providing scope for lightweight construction techniques. The antenna array structure finds wide application in space-based to systems as well as in ground-based systems.
