Abstract

Recombinant Bacillus thuringiensis Cry toxins modified such that the N-terminal region of the protoxin is substantially resistant to protease attack show increased insecticidal activity in lepidopterans resistant to the wild type toxin. The recombinant toxin can be expressed in planta or in bacteria, for instance.
