Description

BOTTLE CARRIER
The present invention is related to a bottle carrier which enables carriage and storage of one or more bottles and containers of similar nature all together as well removal of lids from metal capped vessels of any and all kind.
Several bottle carriers have been developed to carry more than one bottles all together. These carriers hold bottles all together in applications which differentiate from each other by the way volumes such vessels have. Generally, as regards bottles of larger volumes, carriers formed of two plastic plates connected to each other grasping bottles on the one hand from their necks and from their bottoms on the other by means of grips of circular or semi-circular form located along their longer sides are utilized. In applications of such nature, as use is made of two plates attached to each other, costs of materials are caused to soar which makes such a practice uneconomic.
As bottles volumes are reduced as the case is for bottles intended to hold mineral water and refreshers, the requirement to hold bottles from their bottoms becomes diminishingly lesser as these later as usual have at their neck portion a structure which becomes narrower towards their openings. In applications where a single plastic plate is utilized, the diameters of grips in the circular and semicircular form located along both sides of the plastic plate with the object of grasping firmly bottles from their necks and the distance between two adjacent grips thus located vary according to bottle size intended for carriage. Generally, such plates enables carriage up to six to eight bottles once depending upon number of grips such plates hold at each of their sides.
In the state-of-the art, the U.S. patent 5191975 is concerned with a plastic bottle carrier formed of a single plate having along its longitudinal sides grips to grasp bottles from their necks. As for bottle volumes of different sizes, diameters of grips to hold bottles, distance between two adjacent grips, width such plastic plates must have have been disclosed within the frame of the invention. Moreover, in applications where the width of the plastic plate requires being extended, it is feasible according to the invention to open at least a hole in the middle portion of the plastic plate to enable raising this latter by locating a finger into such a hole.
hi another application as disclosed in the U.S. patent 5882057, word is uttered about a bottle carrier having grips to hold bottles formed at outer edges of a body in circular form. By means such an application, it is being hindered bottles hanged from their necks to the grips onto the plate to come into clash with each other but number of bottles which such an arrangement may hold becomes reduced. In order to raise number of bottles such a carrier may haul, it requires raising diameter of the circular body structure, which affects in an adverse way material costs and total volume such a carrier may have.
In the claim of the German useful model certificate 7226648, there is disclosed a bottle carrier enabling carriage of three bottles covered with lids of metal holding as well a lid opener.
The most significant drawback such bottle carriers as mentioned above have is their being non-compatible with the surface area into which such bottle carriers are located for storage. Failure of not having compartments enabling location of bottle carriers into coolers or storage areas causes such bottle carriers loaded with bottles to occupy spaces much larger than required in such coolers or storage areas. Owing to such a fact, bottles are removed from their carriers and are put separate from their carriers into cooling spaces. Moreover, in the inventions disclosed in the patents made mention of above, the object of the inventions targets rather haulage and storage, being nothing mentioned thereat in connection with the opening of bottle lids. Tools used with the intent of opening metal lids to bottles aim only at fulfilling the opening function. To open lids to such bottles, it requires looking for a lid opener.
The object of the present invention is the production of a bottle carrier together with a lid opener, which enables removal of lids from bottle caps.
Another object of the invention is the provision on the bottle carrier of a lid opener ensuring opening of lids to bottles. Are shown in the attached figures embodiments designed to attain object of the invention, where Figure 1 is the view from the top of the bottle carrier with lid opener.
Being numbers imparted to parts, each part means as follows:
1. Bottle carrier
2. Carrier arm
3. Arm body
4. Grip hold
5. Grip claw 6. Carriage hold
7. Side backing piece
8. Opener
9. Pin
10. Supplemental piece
The bottle carrier (1), which is the subject matter of the invention, consists of at least one arm (2), which may be utilized by connecting the same to the subject carrier or independent there from.
The carrier arm (2) consists of a body (3), grip hold (4) in number one or more than one located along the longitudinal edges of such a body (3) and lid opener (8) in number one or more than one located onto the body in the middle of such grip holds (4).
At both of tips of grip holds (4) formed along the longitudinal edges of the carrier arm body (3) with specific gaps, there are grip claws (5). Having flexible a structure, such grip claws enable bottles being set to their sites and removed there from with ease owing to such flexible characteristic these have. At eac and every carrier arm (2), there are grip holds (4) in number that vary in accordance with volume of bottles to be carried away. On application of a force to grip claws (5) set at the tips of grip holds (4), such claws of flexible characteristics are opened to allow bottle run into grip hold by its neck and grip claws catch bottle from its neck portion. By the said means, bottles are carried away by gripping by hand bottle carrier (1), which enables its being stored. In general, on the basis of having three to four bottles at each and every carriage arm (2), up to six to eight bottles may be hauled. By using side backing piece (7), the body (3) and the grip claws
(5) fixed at the tip of grip holds (4) may be united. In this way, grip holds (4) becoming flexible more than required is hampered.
In the section where back surfaces of grip holds (4) placed along both of the two longitudinal edges of the carrier arm body (3) are present, there is a lid opener enabling opening bottle lids. On the body (3) where the lid opener is set, pins (9) and pin holes of sizes appropriate to fit such pins are located. The lid opener is set as such that pins fit into holes to which these are assigned and by applying a specific force to lid opener (8) pins are enabled to seat into holes so as to fix the lid opener onto bottle carrier (1). In this way, the lid opened is easily mounted onto bottle carrier (1) and removed there from when and if desired.
In one alternative application where the lid opener is mounted onto bottle carrier, which is the object of hereby invention, the lid opener (8) is located onto a supplemental piece (10), preferably of plastics, formed separate from bottle carrier (1). The lid opener (8) is placed on the supplemental piece (10) as such that pins which this latter holds (9) befit holes which the opener holds and by exertion of a force on the opener, pins are ensured to go deep in to holes to enable lid opener being fixed onto supplemental piece (10). Moreover, the lid opener may also be fixed on the supplemental piece (10) using injection method. The said supplemental piece (10) with lid opener mounted may be located onto carrier hold
(6) on the bottle carrier. Under such circumstances, the lid opener may be separated from bottle carrier (1) together with supplemental piece (10), and may be put onto it again, when and if desired. If the lid opener, together with the supplemental piece (10), is removed from the bottle carrier (1), then a hold (6) large enough to let a finger run into it makes itself manifest on the bottle carrier to enable this latter being carried away.
In another embodiment, the bottle carrier (1) is produced together with the lid opener (8) in the course of injection procedure. In this embodiment, the lid opener (8) is made fix on the bottle carrier (1) in the course injection process and when the said process comes to a termination; the lid opener (8) is mounted onto plastic bottle carrier as such to make its removal from its site impossible.
On the bottle carrier (1), there are canier holds (6) preferably two in number of width to let fingers run in, which ease bottle carrier being taken away. When the lid opener (8) is located onto the bottle carrier, this formed covers the holds as a result of which function which such holds (6) fulfills is hindered. With the object of eliminating such a drawback, holds on the lid opener are formed as such that carrier holds on the bottle carrier (1) come in direct contact with each other. In this way, when the lid opener (8) is located on the bottle carrier (1), the carriage of this latter is achieved using carrier holds (6).
