Abstract

The invention relates to a bolting device for outboard engines, for mounting on the side of a boat or the like, said device comprising a locking bolt (70) having a screw thread (72) which can be screwed into a shackle (100) of an outboard engine, and a bolt head (73) for rotating the bolt (70). Said locking bolt (70) comprises a front end section which engages in the side (200) of the boat in the mounted state and is oriented away from the bolt head (73), and/or is directly or indirectly tightened against the side of the boat. Said bolting device also comprises a protective housing (60, 80) receiving the locking bolt (70) and provided with an access to the bolt head (73), and a closing device (40) for closing the access to the bolt head (73). In order to simplify the handling of the bolting device and to increase its resistance, the protective housing (60, 80) consists of two parts, namely a first part (60) surrounding the screw thread (72) of the locking bolt (70), and a second part (80) which is detachably connected to the first part (60) on the side of the bolt head (73). Said second part can be locked to the first part (60) by means of the closing device (40) and frees the access to the bolt head (73) when detached from the first part. The invention also relates to the locking bolt for the inventive bolting device.
