Abstract

L'invention concerne un système assurant la sécurité des pneus monté sur une jante de véhicule dans un pneu. Un capteur de pression d'air du pneu effectue une lecture de la pression d'air du pneu. Un élément gonflable forme une structure de sécurité intérieure, expansible et toroïdale. L'élément gonflable est monté contre la jante du véhicule. Le conteneur de substances chimiques situé à l'intérieur de l'élément gonflable reçoit un signal électrique au niveau d'une entrée d'activation. Le conteneur de substances chimiques produit du gaz pressurisé à l'intérieur de l'élément gonflable afin de provoquer le gonflement lorsqu'un signal est reçu au niveau de l'entrée d'activation. Une courroie de protection circonférentielle radialement expansible montée autour de l'élément gonflable se dilate avec le gonflement de l'élément gonflable de sorte que, une fois dilatée, elle reçoive le pneu, lors du fonctionnement. Un ordinateur recevant les lectures de la pression d'air du pneu envoyées par le capteur de pression d'air du pneu envoie un signal à l'entrée d'activation lorsqu'un changement de pression d'air du pneu se produit brusquement.
