Abstract

The subject of the invention is a vehicle seat, which can be used for group passenger transport vehicles, buses, microbuses etc. Vehicle seat, with a back-rest mounted on a frame and a seat mounted on a rotating mechanism, whereas the frame is mounted on support elements of the floor and/or side wall of the vehicle, characterised by the fact that the frame (1) from the side of the vehicle side wall (5) is mounted on an articulated arm (6), attached by a hinge to a support element (7) of the floor (8) or the side wall (5) of the vehicle.

Description

Vehicle seat
The subject of the invention is a vehicle seat, which can be used in group passenger transport vehicles, buses, microbuses etc.
In bus or microbus type vehicles there is often a need to change the internal space, e.g. for placing a wheelchair, transporting an increased amount of luggage, or enabling a creation of a conference room.
This problem was usually solved by dismounting a set number of single or double seats. Dismounted seats were stored outside of the vehicle in the garaging place. Dismounting and mounting of the seats is a time-consuming activity, requires specialised servicing personnel, and it is not possible to change the internal space of the vehicle to suit the current needs when the vehicle has left its garaging place.
The seat's construction shown below eliminates abovementioned defects and inconveniences.
The essence of the invention which is a vehicle seat with a back-rest mounted on a frame and a seat mounted on a rotating mechanism, whereas the frame is mounted on support elements of the floor and/or side wall of the vehicle, is the fact that the frame from the side of the vehicle side wall is mounted on an articulated arm, attached by a hinge to a support element of the floor or the side wall of the vehicle. It is advantageous for both marginal zones of the arm to have bolt holes, preferably with a vertical axis, to connect the arm to support elements of the floor or side wall.
Through the use of the invention's solution the following technical and utilitarian effects were obtained:
- an ability to quickly move the seat and displace it closer to the preceding seat in order to obtain a larger cargo space an ability to place the seat parallel to the vehicle side wall
- an ability to create a conference room by rotating the seat 180 degrees in the vertical axis
- an ability to use the solution both for single and double seats
- a high fastness of the seat's positioning, both in perpendicular and parallel position, as well as reversed in the axis of the vehicle, regardless of whether the seat is folded or prepared for seating,
- an elimination of the need to dismount a set number of seats from the vehicle in order to increase the cargo space or to fit in a wheelchair, a simple construction
The subject of the invention, in an example realisation, can be seen on diagrams on the drawing, where the fig. 1 shows a side view of a seat prepared for seating in the direction of travel, the fig. 2 shows a front view of a seat in a similar position as on the fig. 1, the fig. 3 shows two seats of a vehicle, with one displaced towards the preceding one, fig. 4 shows a seat placed parallel to the side wall, the fig. 5 shows a seat during a position change, and the fig. 6 shows an interior of a passenger vehicle with one seat displaced towards the other, another placed parallel to the side of the wall, and also a seat placed with its back-rest in the direction of travel.
The vehicle seat consists of a back-rest 2 mounted on the frame 1, and a seat 4 mounted on a rotating mechanism 3, the construction of which is not the subject of this solution. The frame 1 from the side wall 5 of the vehicle is placed on an articulated arm 6, attached by a hinge to a support element 7 of the side wall 5. In another realisation version the arm 6 is attached by a hinge to a support element 7 of the vehicle floor 8. The arm 6 has, in both marginal zones, bolt holes 9 for bolts 10, with a vertical axis, that connect the arm 6 to the frame 1 and support element 7. Frame 1 from the side opposite of the side wall 5 has a support 11 placed against the floor 8 in one version or against the side wall 5 in another version.
The seat placed in position for seating towards the direction of travel is supported on the arm 6 from one side, and on the support ϋ from the second side. The seat 4 is placed in a horizontal position.
In order to change the position of the seat and displace it towards the preceding seat, the support H is detached from the floor 8 or side wall 5 and the seat 4 is raised to a vertical position. Then the seat is shifted on an arc made by the arm 6 around the support element 7 and after displacing it towards the preceding one the support 11 is attached.
Similar activities are performed in order to move the seat to a position parallel to the side wall 5 or reversed to the direction of travel. Depending on the needs the seat 4 can be folded, increasing the cargo space, or left in a horizontal position, creating a conference room in the vehicle.
