Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and system for updating goods information in a plurality of shopping mall with network, and more specially, to a method and system for providing the updated goods information by perceiving change of the goods information in real time and diminishing expense and processing time incurred in updating. The method for updating goods information according to the present invention includes the steps of retrieving URL information of a goods information web page corresponding to a shopping mall: retrieving and storing the goods information included in the goods information web page by using the URL information; generating updating information by using the goods information; and updating pre-stored former goods information corresponding to the shopping mall by using the updating information.

Description

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR UPDATNG GOODS INFORMATION
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a method and system for updating goods information in a plurality of shopping mall with network, and more specially to a method and system for providing the updated goods information by perceiving change of the goods information in real time, and diminishing expense and processing time incurred in updating.
Background Art
Recently, there are many price -comparison sites providing the goods information about a plurality of sites. The competitive power of such price-comparison sites can be rapidity and accuracy of the provided goods information.
Namely, the price-comparison sites provides the price information of the goods about a plurality of shopping mall and the change of the goods information of which the accuracy in the arbitrary shopping mall is essential for the price -comparison sites.
However, of the existing various price -comparison sites, there aren't the price- comparison sites which can perceive the change of the goods information automatically in the shopping mall and reflect new information of the goods in real time
A general method for updating the goods information according to the prior art is as follows. The prior price-comparison sites is composed to connect the web page providing the goods information in the homepage of each shopping mall with hyperlink, retrieve the goods information of the shopping mall and provide the retrieved goods information.
Namely, the price-comparison site is composed to retrieve models, classes, prices, manufacturing companies, URL etc. of the goods from the goods information page with path of each category of the homepage.
However, since the type of the goods information provided in the each shopping mall is very different, it is very difficult to retrieve desired items of goods information in such various types. Also, such goods information includes image files and moving picture files etc., therefore there is a problem that it takes too much time to connect the web page and retrieve such goods information. Moreover, if the quantity of the goods in the shopping mall is vast, the load impressed to shopping mall can be disregarded.
According to the prior method for providing the goods information, it takes 10 minutes at the minimum to dozens hours at the maximum to update one time. During the processing time, the corresponding shopping mall and the price-comparison sites provide the goods information to general users, baring the load. There is, therefore, a problem that the processing speed of the server is decreased remarkably.
Moreover, the searching method according to the prior art generally updates only price, there is no method for updating the deletion information. Consequently, it cannot be helped to use other program or to be hand-operated for the deletion information, therefore there are some drawbacks in additional requirements on man power, expense, time and the like.
In accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention, the side of supporting bodies is not limited to these embodiments. Modification within the spirit of the invention will be apparent to those experienced in related technical field.
Disclosure of the Invention
The present invention is devised to solve the above-mentioned problems. An object of the present invention is to provide a method and system for providing the updated information of goods in the shopping mall by perceiving changes of the goods information in the shopping mall registered in the goods information update system in real time.
Also, another object of the present invention is to lessen the load and processing time impresses to the shopping mall and price-comparison site with web pages including the goods information composed of text. The shopping mall server is composed to provide the goods information pages coupled with shopping mall enterprises, and the goods information of the shopping mall can be retrieved not to impress to shopping mall with such goods information pages.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a method and system for lessening loading time by providing web pages including the goods information composed of text, not retrieving the goods information with prior hyperlinks. It may be completed in 1 second at the minimum to 30 minutes at the maximum to transmit the update-information.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a method and system for lessening the load impressed to the goods information update server and increasing the processing rate by generating the update-information with the goods information and transmitting only the generated information, not retrieving the goods information from each shopping mall.
While conventional price-comparison sites retrieve and transmit all the data, the present invention retrieves only the updated data by comparing old goods information with new goods information, transmits and manages. It, therefore, can shorten transmitting time and processing time of the database and lessen the load impressed to the goods information update server.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a method and system for performing the deletion process which cannot be performed by the search engine of conventional price -comparison sites.
To achieve the object, in accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention, there is provided with the method and system for updating goods information of shopping mall in goods information update server coupled with a plurality of shopping mall terminals over network, said method comprising the steps of: retrieving URL information of goods information web page corresponding to said shopping mall, wherein the goods information web page includes the goods information comprised of text; retrieving and storing the goods information included in the goods information web page by using the URL information; generating updated information by using the goods information; and updating pre-stored former goods information corresponding to the shopping mall by using the updating information.
The goods information can be generated by comprising the steps of: perceiving changes of goods information stored in database coupled with the shopping terminal; retrieving the goods information stored in the database in the shopping terminal; and generating the goods information corresponding to predetermined data structure by using the retrieved goods information in the shopping terminal. Further, the goods information may include at least price information.
The step of generating update-information by using the goods information can be comprised of the steps of: retrieving the former goods information; and generating the update-information by comparing the former goods information and the goods information.
Said updating information includes at least one chosen from modification information, deletion information and additional information.
Also, said step of updating pre-stored former goods information corresponding to the shopping mall by using the updating information can be comprised of the steps of: retrieving shopping mall identifier from the updating information; retrieving goods identifier by using the shopping mall identifier; and updating the former goods information corresponding to goods identifier by using the update-information.
Also, when the updated-information is additional information, the step of classifying goods corresponding to the update-information according to predetermined goods classification can be further comprised.
In accordance with another preferred embodiment of present invention, there is provided with the method for updating goods information in a plurality of shopping mall terminals coupled with goods information update server over network and a computer-readable medium for performing the method, said method comprising the steps of: retrieving URL information of goods information web page corresponding to the shopping mall, wherein the goods information web page includes the goods information comprised of text; retrieving and storing the goods information included in the goods information web page by using the URL information; generating updating information by using the goods information; and transmitting the updating information to the goods information update server.
The goods information may be generated by comprising the steps of: perceiving change of goods information stored in database coupled with the shopping terminal; retrieving the goods information stored in the database; and generating the goods information corresponding to predetermined data structure by using the retrieved goods information. Further, the goods information includes at least price information.
Also, the step of generating update-information by using the goods information can be comprised of the steps of: retrieving pre-stored former goods information; and generating the update-information by comparing the former goods information and the goods information. Said update-information includes at least one chosen from modification information, deletion information and additional information.

Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, but it is understood that the present invention should not be limited to the following embodiments.
FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of a goods information update system in accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 1, there is illustrated a buyer terminal 100, a goods information update server 120, a shopping mall terminal 140 are coupled with internet 110. The buyer terminal 100 includes a plurality of buyer terminals 100-1, 100-2, ...100-n,(hereinafter referred to as 100) and the shopping mall terminal 140 also includes 140-1, 140-2, ...140-n,(hereinafter referred to as 140).
The goods information update server 120 can retrieve goods information sold in a registered plurality of shopping malls to perform a price comparison service and then provide the comparison outputs about such goods information to buyer terminals 100.
A buyer corresponding to the buyer terminal 100 can buy a desired goods in moderate price using the goods information provided by the goods information update server 120.
As to one preferred embodiment of the present invention, the shopping mall terminal 140 includes a client program which not only generates web page modified according to the change of goods information of shopping mall, but also generates and transmits update-information using such goods information.
When the goods information of database coupled with the shopping mall terminal, the client program included in the shopping mall terminal 140(hereinafter, referred to as "a perceiving program module") perceives it and updates the goods information web page stored in the database to provide the modified goods information.
Therefore, the perceiving program module can generate the update-information with only modified goods information by comparing pre -generated goods information with new goods information, transmit the generated goods update-information to the goods information update server 120, wherein the goods update-information includes the goods modification information, the goods deletion information and the goods additional information.
Also, the perceiving program module installed in the shopping mall terminal 140 can store and manage the information like transmission particulars by including the history file about transmission particulars etc. in the update-information.
As the goods information update server 120 can update only modified goods information by using the goods updating information, the present invention can reduce time and cost required to update the goods information as well as the load of the goods information update server 120.
According to another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the goods information update server 120 is composed to generate the goods updating information. In this case, it is not necessary for the shopping mall terminal 140 to include the perceiving program module. The method for updating the goods information in the goods information update server 120 is to be described in detail in FIG. 7.
FIG. 2 is an entire flowchart showing an operation of a goods information update system in accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention.
The goods information update server 120 according to the present invention provides modified goods information to general users in real time corresponding to the change of the goods information according to each shopping mall.
When there is a change in the database of the corresponding shopping mall, the perceiving program module included in the shopping mall terminal 140 perceives it, generates the goods update-information and transmits it to the goods information update server 120.
The goods information update server 120 receiving the goods update- information can update the goods information with the latest goods information corresponding to each shopping mall and provide the result to a buyer.
Hereinafter, the process for updating the goods information according to the present invention is explained referring to FIG. 2.
The shopping mall terminal 140 connects the goods information update server 120 (step 200), and registers the shopping mall corresponding to the shopping mall terminal 140 in the goods information update server (step 205).The shopping mall terminal 140 downloads the perceiving program module from the goods information update server 120 (step 210).
Therefore the perceiving program module is installed in the shopping mall terminal 140 (step 215). If the perceiving program module is installed, the shopping mall terminal 140 can set up the operating environment of the perceiving program module and information about the goods information update server 120 etc. thus, it is allowed to change and modify after the set-up (Refer to FIG 3A to 3C).
Above-mentioned process is a premises condition to perform the method for updating the goods information according to the present invention and is explained as an example of the download and install process of the perceiving program module. It is also possible to install a program in the shopping mall terminal 140 using other methods besides the method above-mentioned in the step 200 to step 210.
The perceiving program module included in the shopping mall terminal 140 ascertains whether predetermined operation conditions are satisfied or not, generates the goods update-information in the case that predetermined operation conditions are satisfied (step 230).
An operating process for the perceiving program of the present invention can be briefly divided into the step for providing the goods information of the web page by coupling with the database and the step for generating the update -information by comparing the goods information included in former web page with new information. Each operating condition for providing the goods information and generating the update -information can be determined, respectively.
Namely, the operation condition for providing the goods information stored in database to the web page can be determined with an appropriate intervals. However, it is preferable to determine to update the web page in real time by perceiving the change of the database.
Also, the operation condition for generating the update-information can be determined as predetermined time or period and an operation command of a user and the time when the database having goods information coupled with the shopping mall terminal 140 changes.
If predetermined operation conditions are satisfied, the perceiving program module included in the shopping mall terminal 140 generates the update -information (step 235). Example of the update -information includes modification information, deletion information and additional information. The step 235 for generating the update- information is described in detail in FIG. 4A to 4D.
The perceiving program module included in the shopping mall terminal 140 transmits the generated update-information to the goods information update server 120 (step 240) which updates the goods information corresponding to each shopping mall to the latest information (step 245).
After inserting the received update-information into the modification information table, deletion information table and additional information table, the goods information update server 120 updates the goods information database referring to the tables.
FIG. 3A is a flowchart of setting up a perceiving program module in accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 3B illustrates a picture of setting up operating conditions of a perceiving program module in accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3C illustrates a picture of inputting information corresponding to a goods information update system to perceiving program module in accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention.
If there is a change in the goods information of the shopping mall corresponding to the perceiving program module, the perceiving program module included in the shopping mall terminal 140 according to the present invention can perceive the change, register the new goods information in the predetermined web page and generate the update -information by using the new goods information registered in the web page.
To perform the above-mentioned operation, the perceiving program module must hold the predetermined operation conditions and the information of the goods information update server 120.
Hereinafter, it is to be explained on the premise that if there is a change in database, the goods information registered in the web page is updated to new goods information in real time, coupled with it, It is preferable for the goods information registered in the web page to be composed of text, and for the identifier to be composed of text, too.
Hereinafter, the process for setting up the perceiving program module is described referring to FIG. 3A to 3C.
With the shopping mall terminal 140, the detailed operation condition of the perceiving program module can be determined. Referring to FIG. 3B, the detailed item of operation conditions according to the one preferred embodiment of the present invention is illustrated.
With the window for setting up operation conditions, an user can set up and modify automatic login, ID, password, manual test, time interval, URL information of the goods information page.
When operation conditions are set up, users can input the information corresponding to the goods information update server 120 (step 305). Referring to FIG. 3C, the window for inputting the information corresponding to the goods information update server 120 is illustrated.
The input window includes the input fields for domain name 310, URL information 315. The user can assign a test time interval, manual search or not, and a generation of a working log file or not.
FIG. 4A is a flowchart illustrating a method for operating a perceiving program module in accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention.
It is preferable for the shopping mall terminal 140 according to the present invention to include the perceiving program module. If the predetermined conditions are satisfied, the perceiving program module can generate update-information of goods such as modification information, deletion information and additional information and transmit the result to the goods information update server 120.
When there is a change in the goods information, it is composed to provide the update-information to a user over the web page in real time through the updating process. Namely, the separate web page for the exclusive use of the goods information, coupled with the database is provided and includes the goods information composed of text only.
Hereinafter, the operation process for the perceiving program module according to the present invention is explained referring to FIG. 4A.
The perceiving program module ascertains whether the predetermined operation conditions are satisfied, and if the operation conditions are satisfied, it generates the update-information of goods and transmits the result to the goods information update server 120 (step 400).
Examples of the operation conditions according to the present invention include predetermined time or period, an operation command of a user, and the time when there is the change of the database coupled with the shopping mall terminal.
If the operation conditions are satisfied, the perceiving program module retrieves the goods information from the predetermined shopping mall and compares the retrieved goods information with the latest goods information (step 405).
According to the present invention, in the process for generating the latest goods update-information, the goods information retrieved from the web page is stored. When another goods update-information is generated, it can be regenerated by comparing with the former information.
The perceiving program module installed in the shopping mall terminal 140 can store and manage the information like transmission particulars by including the history file about transmission particulars etc. in the update-information.
The perceiving program module determines whether or not there is a change in the goods information by comparing the retrieved goods information with the former goods information and generates the modification information, the deletion information and the additional information, respectively corresponding to the type of change (step 410).
The modification information is generated in the case that one part of the goods information is modified, generally the change of the price information occupies the most part of the modification information.
Also, some information may be deleted in a case that an existing goods is not for sale for the reason of absence of stock etc.
The additional information is generated in a case that new products are for sale additionally.
Therefore, examples of the update-information include modification information, deletion information and additional information.
The updating information generated in the step 415 is transmitted to the goods information update server 120. According to the present invention, the update- information can be transmitted in the type of one file including each identifier or divided into each separate file.
The transmitted update-information is inserted into the modification information table, the deletion information table and the additional information table of the goods information update server 120, then is used to update the goods information in database of the goods information update server 120 FIG. 4B illustrates a table showing data structure of goods information in accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention and FIG. 4C illustrates a picture of goods information web page in accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention.
Each shopping mall includes the web page for registering the goods information corresponding to predetermined data structure, the goods information stored in the database is stored in the type of text according to the data structure in the web page.
Namely, the data structure of the goods information registered in the web page is illustrated. The goods information included in the web page is coupled with the database of each shopping mall and the entire goods information included in the shopping mall is registered in the web page.
Each shopping mall can minimize the time and load according to updating the goods information by providing the goods information in the type of text.
Referring to FIG. 4B, there is illustrated the data structure of the goods information according to one embodiment of the present invention.
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the data structure of the goods information can be composed in the order of goods code, section, division, group, manufacturing company, URL and Price. It is natural not to be limited to the data structure in illustrated in FIG. 4B.
Referring to FIG. 4C, the web page picture showing the goods information according to the data structure is illustrated.
The goods information is composed of text, each item of the goods information is identified by an identifier of the text type. According to one preferred embodiment of the present invention, each item of the data structure can be divided by a mark £Λ'. Other marks can be also used as an identifier. The web page is coupled with the database, when there is a change of the database, the change of the database is perceived and the web page is composed to include the goods information in the database.
FIG. 4D illustrates a picture showing execution process of a perceiving program module in accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention.
According to the present invention, the operation conditions for updating the web page and generating the update-information can be determined respectively.
Therefore, although there is frequent changes in the goods information, the load of the goods information update server 120 can be reduced by controlling the period of generating update-information. For example, the web page coupled with the database is updated in real time, however the update-information can be generated at the predetermined time periodically.
Namely, the time interval can be short with shopping malls presenting frequent changes such as price. On the other hand, it can be long with shopping malls not requiring frequent changes, since the load of each shopping mall terminal 140 and the goods information update server 120 can be controlled with the time interval.
FIG. 4D illustrates a method for updating the web page by perceiving changes in goods information of the shopping mall, and simultaneously generating the update- information.
The perceiving program module perceives the change in the goods information and retrieve the goods information (step 450). Therefore the perceiving program module generates the update-information by comparing the retrieved goods information with the former (step 455).
When there is the change in the goods information, the perceiving program module retrieve the goods information in the type of text, stores the result in the web page, compares it with the present goods information by the goods code, and generates the update-information depends on the type of information such as modification information, deletion information and additional information.
The perceiving program module according to the present invention can provide the basic information about process mentioned above, for example, the rate of progression and the number of updated goods etc. to users through user interfaces.
The perceiving program module can login with ID and password. When re-login is to be tried in the other terminal, it is composed for the re-login to fail by registering the computer name corresponding the login in the goods information update server 120, consequently the security can be intensified.
The goods information update server 120 inserts the update-information received from the shopping mall terminal 140 into a predetermined update-information table. Namely, the goods modification information is inserted into the modification information table, the goods deletion information into the deletion information table and the goods additional information into the additional information table.
The goods information update server 120 can update the goods information corresponding to entire goods by using such inserted information tables.
First of all, the goods information update server 120 can retrieve identifier of the shopping mall and the goods name corresponding to each goods and update the goods information corresponding to the goods by using the retrieved identifier of the shopping mall and the goods name. Wherein the additional update-information can be registered in the goods database after the predetermined classification process during being inserted into the corresponding table.
The above-mentioned process can be applied to the database of the goods information update server 120, the goods information can be provided in real time. Especially, the price change of the goods is very frequent but perceived at the time of price change, so, the changed price information can be provided in real time.
Hereinafter, referring to FIG. 5A, the updating process in the goods information update server 120 is explained.
The goods information update server 120 receives the update-information from a plurality of the shopping mall terminals 140 (Step 500) and classifies the update- information (Step 505). According to one preferred embodiment of the present invention, the update-information can be divided into the modification information, deletion information and additional information.
According to the classification results, when the update-information is modification information, the goods information update server 120 inserts the modification information into the modification information table (Step 510).
When the updating information is deleted information, the goods information update server 120 inserts the deletion information into the modification deletion table (Step 515).
When the updating information is additional information, the goods information update server 120 inserts the additional information into the additional information table (Step 515).
The table to insert the update-information and updating process can be different depending on the types of information to be updated. Hereinafter, the process for updating the goods information is explained according to the kind of the update- information.
FIG. 5B is a flowchart illustrating a process of deleting goods information in the updating process according to one preferred embodiment of the present invention.
According to the present invention, it is possible to update all the items included in the goods information. The goods information changed frequently are price information and URL information corresponding to the goods particulars information. Hereinafter, for the convenience of explanation, it is described based on the price information.
The database of the goods information update server 120 includes an updating information table, an engine table and a price table.
The updating information table is divided into a modification information table, a deletion information table and an additional information table. The engine table includes information about all goods names sold in each shopping mall and serial numbers corresponding to the goods names.
The price table is included in the goods information table, hereinafter it is given the term of the goods updating information considering only the change of the price information.
Referring to FIG. 5B, a process for modifying the goods information is explained.
The goods information update server 120 inserts the modification information into the modification information table and retrieves the shopping mall identifier. According to the present invention, the domain of the shopping mall is used as the shopping mall identifier, but it is natural to use other identifiers (Step 510).
The goods information update server 120 moves to the engine table, and ascertains whether or not the goods name is the same as the above goods name present in the engine table. If the same goods name exists, it retrieves the goods name identifier corresponding to the goods name (Step 533).
The goods information update server 120 moves the price table of the corresponding goods information. According to the embodiment of the present invention, if the update-information is the price, it moves to the price information table and updates the price of the goods having the same serial number in the price information table.
If the update-information is URL, it updates the URL information of the goods having the same serial number.
FIG. 5C is a flowchart illustrating a process of adding goods information in the updating process according to one preferred embodiment of the present invention.
The goods information update server 120 according to the present invention compares the goods name corresponding to the goods to be deleted in the goods information update server 120 with the goods name of the shopping mall in the data registered already, and then deletes the goods recognized as the same goods
Hereinafter, referring to FIG. 5C, the deleting process of the goods information is explained.
The goods information update server 120 inserts the deletion information into the deleting information table and retrieves the shopping mall identifier (Step 515). The goods information update server 120 moves to the engine table, ascertains whether or not the goods name is the same as the above-mentioned goods name present in the engine table (Step 550), and retrieves the goods name identifier corresponding to the goods name (Step 553).
The goods information update server 120 moves the price table of the corresponding goods information using the serial number and recognizes the price information of the goods having the same serial number in the price information table (Step 556).
Therefore it deletes the record corresponding to the goods in the corresponding engine table and price table.
FIG. 5D is a flowchart illustrating a process of modifying goods information in the updating process according to one preferred embodiment of the present invention.
In the step 520 to step 570, the goods information update server 120 inserts the additional information into the additional information table and classifies the additional information by the predetermined method. After the goods information update server 120 according to the present invention classifies the goods included in the added goods information corresponding to predetermined classification category, it can register the added goods information corresponding to the classified category.
The goods information update server 120 determines whether the corresponding goods information is new goods or existing goods (Step 573)
According to the classification result of the step 573, if it is new goods, the name of new goods is registered in the database of the goods information update server 120 and the new goods is registered in the step 577 and step 579. Namely, the name of the new goods is stored in corresponding engine page (Step 577) and the item is stored in the price table.
According to the classification result, if it is existing goods, the information of the goods is added in the goods corresponding to the engine table and the price table (Step 577 and Step 577).
According to the present invention, the number of shopping mall, the goods price, the goods information, URL information is stored in the price table, and the name of classification, manufacturing company, the goods is stored in the engine table.
FIG. 6A to 6C illustrates a table showing a data structure according to one preferred embodiment of the present invention.
The update-information table according to the present invention can include the item like the goods name, price, URL, Domain, the shopping number etc. and the engine table according to the present invention includes the serial number, the shopping number, the price, URL etc.
The price table according to the present invention can include goods name, price, URL, Domain, the shopping number etc.
The data structure of each table mentioned above is merely one embodiment of the present invention and it is natural to modify and change the data structure variously.
FIG. 7 is a flowchart of updating a process in accordance with another preferred embodiment of the present invention.
In the above-mentioned, it is explained the method how the shopping mall terminal 140 including the perceiving program module generates the update-information and updates the goods information with the update-information.
When the perceiving program module is included in the shopping mall terminal 140, the perceiving program module can generate the update-information by connecting the goods information web page corresponding to the predetermined shopping mall.
However, even though the perceiving program module is not included in the shopping mall terminal 140, it can be composed for the goods information update server 120 to generate the update-information with only the information of the goods information web page.
Especially, the embodiment, corresponding to the case that the goods information update server 120 generates the update-information, is suitable to the large- volume database and assigns operating environments such as test time interval, loading time, shopping mall information and the like with individual web page having registered goods information.
Hereinafter, referring to FIG. 7, the updating process of the goods information is explained.
The goods information update server 120 selects the shopping mall to update the goods information (Step 700), and retrieves URL information of the web page corresponding to the selected shopping mall (Step 710).
The goods information update server 120 includes the URL information of the web page representing the goods information corresponding to each shopping mall.
The goods information update server 120 connects the web page with URL, and receives the goods information composed of the text (Step 720).
As above-mentioned, the web page is composed of only text, and the information of each item is identified with predetermined identifier. Therefore, only the update-information can be retrieved, by comparing former web page information with the web page corresponding thereto (Step 720).
With the retrieved information, the updating process is made, wherein the updating process is similar to the process mentioned in FIG. 5A to 5D, therefore the explanation of it is omitted.
Industrial Applicability
The method for updating goods information according to the present invention is to provide rapid and accurate goods information to consumers by updating the goods information of the shopping mall registered in the goods information update server in real time corresponding to the change varying with time.
Also, the present invention is to alleviate the problem associated with the conventional methods which are unnecessary man powers, expenses and times, by the automatic management with the predetermined program of deletion information and additional information as well as modification information.
Also, the present invention is to solve the load problem of server in retrieving goods information by providing goods information in text format corresponding to each shopping mall.
Also, the present invention is to reduce the transmitting time and updating time of the goods information update server of each shopping mall by generating and transmitting only update-information, not entire information of goods.
Also, the present invention is to provide the present status of goods in stock precisely by transmitting the deletion information of the goods which are not for sale or are out of stock. Although the present invention has been described in terms of various embodiments, it is not intended that the invention be limited to these embodiments. Modification within the spirit of the invention will be apparent to those experienced in giving or receiving counseling.

Claims

Claims
1. A method for updating goods information of a shopping mall in a goods information update server coupled with a plurality of shopping mall terminals over network, said method comprising the steps of:
(a) retrieving URL information of goods information web page corresponding to said shopping mall, wherein the goods information web page includes the goods information composed of text;
(b) retrieving and storing the goods information included in the goods information web page by using the URL information;
(c) generating update-information by using the goods information;
(d) updating pre-stored former goods information corresponding to the shopping mall by using the update-information.
2. The method for updating goods information as stated in claim 1, wherein said goods information is generated by comprising the steps of: perceiving changes of goods information stored in database coupled with the shopping mall terminal; retrieving the goods information stored in the database coupled with the shopping mall terminal; generating the goods information corresponding to predetermined data structure by using the retrieved goods information in the shopping mall terminal.
3. The method for updating goods information as stated in claim 1, wherein said goods information includes at least price information.
4. The method for updating goods information as stated in claim 1, wherein said step of generating update-information by using the goods information is comprised of the steps of: retrieving the former goods information; and generating the update-information by comparing the former goods information and the goods information.
5. The method for updating goods information as stated in claim 1, wherein said updating information includes at least one chosen from modification information, deletion information and additional information.
6. The method for updating goods information as stated in claim 1, wherein said step of updating pre-stored former goods information corresponding to the shopping mall by using the update-information is comprised of the steps of: retrieving a shopping mall identifier from the update-information; retrieving a goods identifier by using the shopping mall identifier; and updating the former goods information corresponding to the goods identifier by using the update-information.
7. The method for updating goods information as stated in claim 6, further comprising the step of classifying a goods corresponding to the update-information according to a predetermined goods classification when the update-information is additional information.
8. A goods information system of shopping mall, said system comprising: a storage device; and a processor coupled to the storage device, wherein the storage device storing a program for controlling the processor; and wherein the processor operative with the program to perform the method as claimed in any of claimsl-7.
9. A method for updating goods information in a plurality of shopping mall terminals coupled with a goods information update server by network, said method comprising the steps of:
(a) retrieving URL information of goods information web page corresponding to the shopping mall, wherein the goods information web page includes the goods information comprised of text;
(b) retrieving and storing the goods information included in the goods information web page by using the URL information;
(c) generating update-information by using the goods information;
(d) transmitting the update-information to the goods information update server.
10 The method for updating goods information as stated in claim 9, wherein said goods information is generated by comprising the steps of: perceiving changes of the goods information stored in database coupled with the shopping terminal; retrieving the goods information stored in the database; generating the goods information corresponding to the predetermined data structure by using the retrieved goods information.
11. The method for updating goods information as stated in claim 9, wherein said goods information includes at least price information.
12. The method for updating goods information as stated in claim 9, wherein said step of generating update-information by using the goods information is comprised of the steps of: retrieving pre-stored former goods information; and generating the update-information by comparing the former goods information and the goods information.
13. The method for updating goods information as stated in claim 9, wherein said update-information includes at least one chosen from modification information, deletion information and additional information.
14. A computer-readable medium including a program containing computer- executable instructions for performing the method for updating goods information of shopping mall as stated in any of claims 9 to 13.
