Abstract

The invention relates to a fuel tank for motor vehicles, consisting at least partially of a plastic composite material. The aim of the invention is to provide a fuel tank for motor vehicles which at least partially consists of a plastic composite material and which almost entirely suppresses the emission of hydrocarbons as well as being easy to produce. This is achieved in that the plastic composite material (1) is provided at least partially with a gas barrier layer that is made of an aluminium foil (2).
