And, as the present invention uses the conventional opener, it can be manufactured inespensively.

Description

BEVERAGE CAN
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a beverage can, particularly to the beverage can in which the lid of the opening is positioned outside of the can.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The beverage can that is made of aluminum or steel, has several kinds of opening. For examples, there are a pull-open type and the push-open type in which the lid of opening is cut along to the parting line by pulling the opener up, as shown in Fig. 1.
The pull-open type has some problems such as the difficulty of collecting the parted lid and the possibility of hurting fingers of user by the sharp edge of the lid. So, the push-open type is widely on use.
In push-open type can 10, the end of the opener 12 pushes the lid 14 that is divided by the parting line downward by pulling up the holder of the opener 12, and then the lid 14 is cut along to the parting line by the pushing force of the opener. At that time, the lid 14 is located inside of the can by bending of non-parting line zone, which enables easy opening and collecting the lid.
In general, the beverage can can be easily contaminated by dust, etc. during manufacturing or circulation. In push-open type, because the parted lid is located inside of the can, the lid will contact the contents of the can when opening or drinking. So, if the face of the lid is contaminated, the contents of the can will be easily contaminated.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a beverage can which has the same advantages of the conventional push-open can and prevents the contents of the can from being contaminated by the lid.
To accomplish the objects of the present invention, there is provided a beverage can comprising the opener fixed on the top face of the can, and a lid that is divided by parting line and is parted by the upwardly rotating of the opener; wherein the subsidiary parting line is further included on the top face of the can that is extended diagonally from the one end of the parting line.
In the present invention, the lid is parted along to the parting line, and then by rotating the opener to the sidewall of the can the lid is further parted along to the subsidiary parting line, which locates the parted lid outside of the can.
Because the lid is positioned outside of the can, the lid does not contact the contents of the can. And, the lid is still connected to the can, which is the advantage of the conventional push-open type can.
To guarantee the lid to be parted along to the subsidiary parting line after the parting line, the depth of the subsidiary parting line may be smaller than that of the parting line.
Desirably, a straw may be fixed on the inner face of the lid. In the conventional push-open type, the lid is located inside of the can, it is impossible to pull out the straw even if the straw is fixed on the inner face of the lid. In the present invention, because the lid is positioned outside of the can, the straw fixed on the inner face of the lid can be easily pulled out, by which user does not need to prepare a separate straw.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The above objects and other advantages of the present invention will become more apparent by detailed describing preferred embodiments thereof with reference to the attached drawings in which:
Fig. 1 is the perspective view of the conventional beverage can. Fig. 2a to 2c are the perspective views to illustrate the opening process of the one embodiment according to the present invention
Fig. 3 is the plane view of the embodiment in Fig. 2a.
Fig. 4 is the plane view of another embodiment according to the present invention.
EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, but it is understood that the present invention should not be limited to the following embodiments.
Referring to the Fig. 2a to Fig. 3, the embodiment 100 has the same opener 102 as the conventional push-open type opener. That is, one end of the opener 102 is for the holder, the other end contacts part of the lid 104. So, if pull up the opener 102, then the end of the opener 102 push the lid 104 downward. The downward force by the opener 102 part the lid 104 along to the parting line, then the lid 104 starts going inside of the can.
As the parting line locates along to the lid 140 edge except one end, by pulling up the opener 102 the area adjacent to the contacting point of opener in the parting line parts first, and then the parting goes along to the remaining parting line.
The subsidiary parting line 106 is further formed in the top face of the can, which starts at the end of parting line in which the parting along to the parting line completes and extends diagonally and upwardly in Fig. 2a. The subsidiary parting line 106 has smaller depth than that of the parting line dividing the lid 104, by which the parting first starts at the parting line and completes at the subsidiary parting line 106.
By rotating the opener 102 right direction as shown in Fig. 2a after pulling up, the parting goes along to the parting line and subsidiary parting line 106, and the lid 104 is folded along to the line 108. So, the lid will move from the inside of the can to the outside of the can and finally entire lid 104 will be located outside of the can, which prevent the lid from being contacted the contents of the can.
The straw may be fixed on the inner face of the lid 104. As described above, in conventional can the lid is located inside of the can, thus it is impossible to pull out the straw even if the straw is fixed on the inner face of the lid. However, as the entire lid is positioned outside of the can in present invention, user may use the straw conveniently without prepare separate straw if the straw is attached on the inner face of the lid during manufacturing.
In Fig. 4, another embodiment according to the present invention is shown which has different subsidiary parting line. The embodiment in Fig. 4 includes subsidiary parting line 106' which extends opposite direction as in the Fig. 2a. By pulling up and rotating the opener left direction, the lid will be parted.
INDUSTRIAL UTILIZABILITY
According to the present invention, as the entire lid is located outside of the can, the lid does not contact the contents of the can, the contents of the can is able to be prevented from being contaminated. And, as the present invention uses the conventional opener, it can be manufactured inexpensively.
While the present invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to the preferred embodiments thereof, it will be appreciated that many variations, modifications, and other applications of the present invention may be made without affecting the spirit and scope.
