Abstract
The invention relates to a method for controlling piezoelectric actuators (PA), in particular piezoelectric multilayer actuators (PMA), which are regularly subjected to a positive voltage during operation to induce elongation. According to the invention, the PMA is subjected to a restricted negative voltage or offset voltage, which does not cause a polarization reversal, for predefined operating modes of the PMA, in order to return the latter to a definable initial position.
