Abstract

La présente invention concerne des procédés et un appareil qui facilitent l'électrophorèse de milieux de séparation hydratables de pré-moulage, des bandes à gradient de pH immobilisé. Le procédé exploite le pouvoir de gonflement des milieux de séparation hydratables de pré-moulage après réhydratation, afin de maintenir les milieux logés dans un élément enveloppant qui permet une communication électrique espacée avec les milieux de séparation enveloppés. Cette communication électrique permet l'établissement d'un gradient de tension dans le milieu de séparation enveloppé suffisant pour induire une séparation des matières à analyser qui s'y trouvent. La présente invention concerne également des cassettes, des noyaux tampons, des systèmes et des trousses d'électrophorèse permettant de mettre en oeuvre les procédés selon cette invention.The present invention relates to methods and apparatus that facilitate electrophoresis of hydratable separation media from pre-molding, immobilized pH gradient bands. The method exploits the swelling power of the hydratable separation media of pre-molding after rehydration, in order to maintain the media housed in an enveloping element which allows spaced electrical communication with the wrapped separation media. This electrical communication allows the establishment of a voltage gradient in the enveloped separation medium sufficient to induce separation of the materials to be analyzed therein. The present invention also relates to cassettes, buffer cores, electrophoresis systems and kits for carrying out the methods according to this invention.
