Bath and/or relaxation vessel
Technical field
The invention relates to a bath or relaxation vessel for personal use, in particular to a bath tub or spa, made in its entirety by shaping one piece of a flat material and optionally fitted with at least one massage and/or antistream and/or air and/or another jet and/or an external filtering system with an inlet and an outlet hole serving for letting pass water respectively into and out of the external filtering system
Background art
For the purpose of this invention, the term „bath and/or relaxation vessel" is intended to mean bath tubs, massage tubs including the versions for a plurality of persons (known as „spa"), antistream basins for personal use, etc
There is known a number of various constructions of bath and/or relaxation vessels for personal use The known bath and/or relaxation vessels for personal use have an inner wall of various shapes A drawback common to the well-known versions of bath and/or relaxation vessels for personal use consists in some hygienic troubles with the maintaining of sufficient water purity in the vessel, in particular in large size vessels intended chiefly for relaxation, for instance by means of massage and/or antistream and/or air and/or another jets, because such vessels are not emptied after each use Another problem of the bath and/or relaxation vessels for personal use consists in the deposition of impurities, including grease, on the inner wall of the vessel and especially in the area of the water level in the vessel which even otherwise efficient filtering systems are unable to eliminate
The invention intends to solve or at least to minimize the problems connected with the maintaining of water purity in a bath and/or relaxation vessel and with the cleaning of the inner wall of the vessel
Principle of the invention
The goal of the invention has been reached by a bath and/or relaxation vessel for personal use whose principle consists in that the vessel is on at least a part of its inner wall out of which at least a section is intended for the contact with water fitted with a layer of photocatalytic material containing TιO2 The layer can be biologically activated by irradiation with UV-rays The advantage of this version of the bath and/or relaxation vessel consists in that the irradiation of the layer of photocatalytic material containing TιO2 with UV-rays starts a photochemical reaction, biologically activates the layer and thus gives it antibacterial and fungicidal properties, in contact with the bacteria existing in the water, it acts on them as bactericidal means killing the bacteria and thus improves the water quality in the vessel At the same time, the layer of photocatalytic material containing TιO2 decomposes organic impurities Without threatening the required hygienic parameters, this increases the time interval during which the bath and/or relaxation vessel can be used without the necessity to exchange water, thus reduces water consumption with the ensuing reduction of the vessel operation costs and has favourable influence on the environment Another advantage of the invention consists in that the layer of photocatalytic material containing TιO2 lends to the inner wall of the vessel hydrophilic properties acting against and reducing deposition of impurities which are then easily removable by water washing Thus for instance, during the water exchange to be carried out from time to time, the layer of photocatalytic material containing TιO2 makes the cleaning of the inner wall of the vessel with water much easier The tests carried out with the invention have shown that the layer of photocatalytic material containing TιO2 does no harm to human body even in case of a direct contact, i e to the person lying directly on the layer when using the bath tub In one preferred embodiment, the inner wall of the vessel is provided with the layer of photocatalytic material containing TιO2 on the whole of its circumference at the water level existing both in its rest and in its operating conditions which is advantageous in particular for the elimination of the impurity deposition on the wall of the vessel both in its rest and in its operating condition in which the vessel is used by a person or by a number of persons In another preferred embodiment the layer of photocatalytic material containing TιO2 covers the
whole of the inner wall of the vessel which then as a whole has these advantageous properties
To improve the utility properties of the layer of photocatalytic material containing TιO2, the layer can contain also SιO2 and/or Ag and/or Cu
Examples of embodiment of the invention
The bath and/or relaxation vessel for personal use, in particular a bath tub or a spa, antistream tank for personal use, etc is made of one piece of flat material shaped to a required shape and size The inner wall of the vessel is suitably shaped and can be fitted with an outlet hole for water or can be emptied with another adequate means such as a pump with a hose etc The vessel can be equipped also with at least one massage and/or antistream and/or air and/or another jet and/or a jet system The vessel can be equipped with an external filtering system for water connected to the vessel by an inlet hole and an outlet hole situated in the wall of the vessel The bath and/or relaxation vessel is produced by a suitable technique of shaping one piece of flat material such as the hot shaping of acrylate laminate etc
The inner wall of the bath and/or relaxation vessel is coated with a layer of photocatalytic material containing TιO2 on at least one part of its surface out of which at least one section is intended to be in contact with water To reduce the deposition of impurities and of grease on the inner wall of the vessel in particular in the area of the water level in its rest as well as in its operative conditions, the inner wall of the vessel is coated with a layer of photocatalytic material containing TιO2 on the whole of its circumference at the expected water level in its rest as well as in its operative conditions For its bactericidal function, the layer of the photocatalytic material containing TιO2 is biologically activatable by means of irradiation with UV- rays The irradiation of the layer of photocatalytic material containing TιO2 with UV- rays can be effected either by a UV-lamp or by sun radiation or by both of them The UV-lamp can be situated in the vessel for instance even below the water level and can be in operative condition at the time when the bath is not used and the vessel is covered with an insulation plate
The layer of photocatalytic material containing TiO2 coated on the wall of the vessel can in addition to TiO2 also contain other components such as SiO , Ag, Cu, etc. which give it further required properties or which improve the properties inherent to the layer of photocatalytic material containing TiO2.
Industrial applicability
The invention is applicable to bath tubs, massage baths, including those fitted with various jet types, massage basins, antistream basins, etc., intended for personal use such as in households etc., produced by shaping one piece of flat material.
