Abstract

An electromagnetic communication unit (2) is integrated in a visibly transparent or translucent part of the body (1) of a contactless intelligent portable object such as a chipcard or an electronic label. In order to render the presence of said unit (2) visually attractive the above is given a decorative form taking into account an improvement in the electromagnetic communication properties thereof.
