Abstract

The invention relates to methods for determining the influence of a compound on cholesterol handling, and in particular on cholesterol transport across biological membranes. In particular, the invention relates to a method for determining the influence of a compound on the uptake of cholesterol by a nematode worm, which method is representative for cholesterol transport across (other) biological membranes.
