Abstract

An ergonomic handle having a first handle section (12), a second handle section (14) and a third handle section (14), wherein the first handle section (12) and the second handle section (14) are connected at a first (α) obtuse angle, and wherein the second handle section (14) and the third handle section (16) are connected at a second obtuse angle (β). The ergonomic handle of the present invention also preferably includes an implement (4) removably attached to said first handle section, wherein the implement is removably attached with a quick connect-disconnect mechanism (24).

Claims

AMENDED CLAIMS received by the International Bureau on 02 August 2004 (02.08.2004)
1. An ergonomic handle comprising:
a first handle portion, a second handle portion and a third handle portion, wherein said first handle portion and said second handle portion are connected at a first obtuse angle, and wherein said second handle portion and said third handle portion are connected at a second obtuse angle, wherein said third handle portion is substantially perpendicular to the surface upon which a user stands when using the handle, wherein said third handle portion is substantially perpendicular to an implement removably attached to said first handle portion, and wherein said second handle portion is non-parallel to the surface upon which a user stands when using the handle; and wherein said implement is removably attached to said first handle portion with a quick connect-disconnect mechani..m.
2. The ergonomic handle of claim 1, wherein said first handle portion comprises a first section and a second section, wherein said first section is slidably connected to said second section.
3. The ergonomi handle of claim 2, wherein said first section has a smaller outside
diameter than the inside diameter of the second section.
4. The handle of claim 3, wherein said handle has a circular cross-sectional shape.
5. The handle of claim 1, wherein said first angle is substantially 130 degrees and said second angle is substantially 135 degrees.
6. The handle of claim 1, wherein said first angle and said second angle are equal,
7. The handle of claim 1, wherein said second and third handle portions include cushioned grips.
8. An ergonomic handle comprising:
a first handle portion, a second handle portion and a third handle portion, wherein said first handle portion and said second handle portion are connected at a first obtuse angle, and
wherein said second handle portion and said third handle portion are connected at a second obtuse angle, wherein said third handle portion is substantially perpendicular to the surface upon which a user stands when using the handle, wherein said third handle portion is substantially perpendicular to an implement attached to said first handle portion and wherein said second handle portion is non-parallel to the surface upon which a user stands when using the handle;
9. The ergonomic handle of claim 8, wherein said handle includes means for
extending the handle.
10. The ergonomic handle of claim 9, wherein said means for extending includes means for extending said first handle portion.
1 1. The handle of claim 9, wherein said handle has a circular cross-sectional shape.
12. The handle of claim 8, wherein said first angle is substantially 130 degrees and said second angle is substantially 135 degrees.
13. The handle oT claim S, wherein said first angle and said second angle arc equal.
14. The handle of claim 8, wherein said second and third handle portions include cushioned grips.
