Description

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDRAWING LOTTERY TICKETS HAVING LOST
FIRST DRAWING OF LOTTERY
Technical Field
The present invention relates, in general, to a system and method for redrawing losing lottery tickets, and, more particularly, to a system and method for redrawing losing lottery tickets, which allows users with losing lottery tickets which have been previously sold to access a specific Web site, register their losing lottery ticket numbers in the Web site and pay certain amounts of money for the redrawing, and outputs winning numbers of the redrawing on the basis of the frequencies of occurrence of the currently registered losing lottery ticket numbers in real time.
Background Art
As well known to those skilled in the art, lotteries are floated for the purpose of promoting the public benefit on the basis of specific laws. Most lotteries are floated by government organizations to raise public funds. In Korea, House lotteries and Ttotto lotteries are floated on the basis of the
House Construction Expediting Law, in which 5,400,000 House lottery tickets are issued weekly, and 5,000,000 Ttotto lottery tickets are issued monthly, thus generating 1,700,000 and 3,950,000 losing lottery tickets, respectively. Super Double lotteries are floated on the basis of a special law for scientific technological renovation, and 5,400,000 Super Double lottery tickets are issued weekly, thus generating 1,700,000 losing lottery tickets. Further, Sports lotteries are floated on the basis of the National Sports Promotion Act, and 4,200,000 Sport lottery tickets are issued weekly, thus generating 1,400,000 losing lottery tickets (the above numbers of losing lottery tickets are values estimated in consideration of the number of lottery tickets sold). Moreover, there are Plus Plus lotteries which are occasionally held.
The House, Ttotto, Super Double, Worldcup, Plus Plus lotteries and the like are drawing type lotteries in which winning or losing is ascertained through the determination notification of winning numbers of each lottery.
A drawing type lottery ticket is issued after a serial number is printed thereon, and becomes a wining ticket in the drawing only when a printed group number and printed digits in the positions of the serial number correspond to those of an announced winning number. Lottery purchasers purchase and carry lottery tickets on which serial numbers are printed, and can ascertain whether or not they win at a fixed drawing date.
There are on-line lotteries (hereinafter, Lotto) which are drawing type lotteries without serial numbers printed thereon contrary to typical drawing type lotteries, and which enable purchasers to select their desired lottery numbers. Lotto is designed such that an exclusive communication network and a terminal are used instead of drawing type paper lottery tickets sold in typical shops, and a Lotto purchaser can select lottery numbers instead of purchasing a lottery ticket with fixed numbers.
In Korea, Lotto drawings are classified into a 6/42 Lotto drawing in which a user selects six desired numbers among numbers 1 to 42 and matches the selected numbers with drawn numbers, a 6/45 Lotto drawing in which a user selects six desired numbers among numbers 1 to 45 and matches the selected numbers with drawn numbers, a 6/49 Lotto drawing in which a user selects six desired numbers among numbers 1 to 49 and matches the selected numbers with drawn numbers, a 6/53 Lotto drawing in which a user selects six desired numbers among numbers 1 to 53 and matches the selected numbers with drawn numbers, and a 7/47 Lotto drawing in which a user selects seven desired numbers among numbers 1 to 47 and matches the selected numbers with drawn numbers.
In such a Lotto drawing, if all of the numbers selected by the user match with drawn numbers, for example, if six numbers selected by the user among numbers from 1 to 45 all match with the drawn numbers in the case of the 6/45 Lotto drawing, the user becomes a first prize winner. The Lotto is characterized in that, if a first prize is not claimed, the prize amount is transferred to the next drawing, and if the number of users participating in the drawing increases, the prize amount also increases.
For the Lotto drawing, a user can select six desired numbers among numbers (1 to 45) indicated on an Optical Mark Reading (OMR) card (slip) and purchase the slip from an authorized lottery outlet. After purchasing the slip in the authorized lottery outlet, the user marks the desired numbers on the slip with a black ballpoint pen or pencil and then receives a receipt, thus completing the purchase procedure.
After the purchase has been completed, winning numbers are drawn in public at a specific date, and winner prize classes and prize amounts are determined according to how many numbers of the six numbers selected by the user match with six drawn winning numbers. As the amount of money obtained by selling Lotto tickets increases, the prize amounts increase.
If the user wins the drawing, the user must carry the receipt on which a purchasing place, a serial number, and the like, as well as information on his or her Lotto ticket, are recorded. Therefore, the user must carefully keep the receipt until the lottery is drawn and the prize amount is paid. If the receipt is lost, the Lotto ticket is processed to be invalidated.
Currently, a 6/45 Lotto drawing is used in Korea, and the prize amounts for first to fourth prize winners are not predetermined, but are determined according to the total amount of money raised by sale of Lotto tickets in a corresponding drawing round. The prize amounts accordmg to winner prize classes are each divided by the number of winners in each class and then paid to the winners. That is, a first prize winner is a winner when all of six numbers selected by the user among the numbers 1 to 45 match with the drawn numbers, a second prize winner is a winner when five numbers and a single bonus number among numbers 1 to 45 match with the drawn numbers, a third prize winner is a winner when five numbers thereamong match with the drawn numbers, a fourth prize winner is a winner when four numbers match with the drawn numbers, and a fifth prize winner is a winner when three numbers match with the drawn numbers.
In this case, the fifth prize winner has a winning probability 1 in 45 and the prize amount thereof is ten thousand Korean Won. Further, the first prize winner has a winning probability of 1 in 8,140,000, and the prize amount thereof is 60% of the total prize amount excepting the prize amount of the fifth prize winner. The second prize winner has a winning probability of 1 in 1,350,000 and the prize amount thereof is 10% of the total prize amount excepting the prize amount of the fifth prize winner. The third prize winner has a winning probability of 1 in 34,000 and the prize amount thereof is
10% of the total prize amount excepting the prize amount of the fifth prize winner. Finally, the fourth prize winner has a winning probability of 1 in 733, and the prize amount thereof is 20% of the total prize amount excepting the prize amount of the fifth prize wimier.
In this way, after the prize amounts are determined, it is ascertained whether each winner carries a receipt, and a corresponding prize amount is paid to each winner.
In this case, a lottery issuer of drawing type lottery tickets, on which lottery numbers are printed, prints all the lottery numbers on lottery tickets and then provides the lottery tickets to lottery outlets, thus enabling the lottery tickets to be sold. Of the provided lottery tickets, lottery tickets which are not sold and losing lottery tickets both remain after a lottery drawing is finished. Further, in Lotto's case, a large number of slip papers on which losing numbers are marked and receipts remain after a lottery drawing.
There are also scratch-off type lotteries, besides the drawing type lotteries, as another type of lottery. In Korea, the scratch-off type lotteries include Chance lotteries, Technology lotteries, Speed lotteries, Enterprise lotteries, Self-governing lotteries, Welfare lotteries,
Athletic lotteries, Green lotteries, and the like.
The scratch-off type lotteries enable lottery purchasers to immediately ascertain whether their lottery tickets are winning or losing tickets. Users can purchase scratch- off type lottery tickets at lottery outlets, immediately ascertain whether they have won or lost, and dispose the losing lottery tickets. Scratch-off type lottery tickets are variously issued in numbers of 8,000,000 to 44,000,000, so the numbers of scratch-off type lottery tickets not sold or losing increase with the numbers of scratch-off type lottery tickets issued. Hereinafter, losing lottery tickets represent lottery tickets printed with losing numbers with respect to both the drawing type lottery tickets, including the Lotto tickets, and the scratch-off type lottery tickets.
Recently, with the success of lottery industries, new shops called lottery shops have appeared. Such a lottery shop is equipped with a large number of lottery tickets to be sold and exchange winning lottery tickets with new lottery tickets. In this process, a large number of losing lottery tickets are generated. A prior art of redrawing losing lottery tickets is disclosed in Korean Patent Laid- open Publication No. 2001-0067000, which is described below in brief.
A user purchasing a lottery ticket accesses a lottery managing server through the
Internet, Automatic Response Service (ARS), PC communication, etc., so as to ascertain whether the lottery ticket is a winning or losing lottery ticket. The user enters a lottery code according to a type, a drawing number and a serial number in the server so as to ascertain whether the lottery ticket is a winning or losing ticket. The lottery managing server ascertains whether the lottery ticket is a winning or losing ticket and informs the user that he or she is a winner. On the contrary, when the user loses the drawing, the user requests a losing ticket code to be assigned to the user so as to apply for redrawing. After the losing ticket code is assigned to the user, the user re-accesses the lottery managing server, and selects an initial menu item used to ascertain a redrawing result. The user enters the assigned losing ticket code. The lottery managing server ascertains whether the losing ticket code entered by the user is a winning or losing code, and informs the user of the redrawing result by image and voice.
Another prior art for redrawing losing lottery tickets is disclosed in Korean Patent Laid-open Publication No. 2001-0007733, which is described below in brief.
The prior art performs redrawing using losing ticket numbers among lottery ticket numbers, which have been previously drawn, through the Internet. First, member information inputted according to IDs through the Internet is stored. After that, various kinds of lottery drawing information are inputted through the Internet and stored, and a redrawing is carried out with respect to lottery ticket information, the object of which is to redraw from the stored lottery drawing information. Winning numbers obtained by the redrawing are provided to the members. The members ascertain whether they have won the redrawing, and provide their prize class information. Only previously registered members are eligible to be winners of the redrawing, so prize amounts and prizes are provided to the winners according to corresponding prize classes. However, a large number of losing lottery tickets generated due to the success of the lottery industries must be disposed, thus increasing disposal costs of the losing lottery tickets and causing economic loss due to the costs required to issue a large number of lottery tickets. A direct cause of such economic loss is the numerous losing lottery tickets that are generated.
The above-described prior art of redrawing losing lottery tickets is inconvenient in that, after a user requests the assignment of a losing ticket code and the losing ticket code is assigned to the user, the user must re-access a corresponding Web site to select an initial menu item used to ascertain a redrawing result and ascertain whether he or she has won or lost the redrawing by entering the assigned losing ticket code.
Further, the Korean Patent Laid-open Publication No. 2001-0007733 described above is inconvenient in that, a redrawing is carried out using lottery numbers of registered members which were not drawn as winning numbers, and the user is informed of only his or her winning or losing status and prize class information, so the user cannot follow a redrawing process in real time.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made keeping in mind the above problems occurring in the prior arts, and an object of the present invention is to provide a system and method for redrawing losing lottery tickets, which does not assign additional losing ticket codes to users, allows the users to register their losing lottery ticket numbers as they are using the losing lottery tickets, provides registered results to the users in real time to inform the users of a redrawing process in real time, and also provides redrawing results to the users in real time, thus maintaining the reliability and fairness of the redrawing and raising the interests of the users to increase the participation thereof.

Further, in the present invention, the redrawing method further comprises the steps of entering payment information displayed on a payment window to pay a certain amount of money, calculating payments, and outputting payment calculation information after the step 3).
Further, in the present invention, the payment calculation information is provided in real time.
Further, in the present invention, the step 5) is performed so that the winning numbers are extracted from the registered losing lottery ticket numbers by combining digits in positions according to frequency of the digit in each of the positions of each of the losing lottery ticket numbers.
Further, in the present invention, the step 5) is performed so that the winning numbers are extracted from the registered losing lottery ticket numbers using component numbers with highest frequencies, which are most frequently registered regardless of frequency of the digit in each of the positions of each of the losing lottery ticket number. Further, in the present invention, the step 5) is performed so that the winning numbers are extracted using numbers from the registered losing lottery ticket numbers using component numbers with lowest frequencies which are least frequently registered regardless of frequency of the digit in each of the positions of each of the losing lottery ticket number.
Further, in the present invention, the redrawing method further comprises the step of 8) reserving a prize amount if it is determined that the losing lottery ticket numbers corresponding to the winning numbers are not registered at step 6).

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached Figs. 1 and 2.
Fig. 1 is a block diagram of a system for redrawing losing lottery tickets according to an embodiment of the present invention.
In the system of Fig. 1, a user's Personal Computer (PC) 10 is connected to a main server 20 and a lottery redrawing server 30 through the Internet.
The main server 20 comprises a Web server 21, a member managing server 22, and a security authentication server 23. In this case, the Web server 21 includes a Web server module and a Web site screen configuration program for Web services of a lottery redrawing Web site. The member managing server 22 performs member personal information management, member redrawing details management, member Web site use details management, and member bonus point management according to Web site use results. Further, the security authentication server 23 performs user authentication and data security.
Further, the lottery redrawing server 30 comprises a winning lottery ticket managing server 31, a losing lottery ticket registering server 32, a losing lottery ticket registration frequency calculating server 33, and a payment calculating server 34.
In this case, the winning lottery ticket managing server 31 manages winning numbers of issued lottery tickets to determine whether losing lottery ticket numbers are valid or invalid when losing lottery ticket numbers are registered. The losing lottery ticket registering server 32 receives and manages losing lottery ticket numbers. The losing lottery ticket registration frequency calculating server 33 calculates the registration frequencies of the losing lottery ticket numbers received from the losing lottery ticket registering server 32, and provides the registration frequency calculation information of the losing lottery ticket numbers to the user's PC 10. Further, the payment calculating server 34 processes payments of users when their losing lottery ticket numbers are registered, and calculates the payments.
A method of redrawing losing lottery tickets using the losing lottery ticket redrawing system of Fig. 1 constructed as described above is described in detail with reference to Figs. 2a to 2c. Figs. 2a to 2c are flowcharts of the method of redrawing losing lottery tickets according to an embodiment of the present invention.
First, in order to redraw losing lottery tickets, a user accesses a losing lottery ticket redrawing Web site (for example, ttodasi.co.kr, ttodasi.com, ttodasi.net, etc.) using his or her PC 10 (step 200a). Further, it is clear that a plurality of users having losing lottery tickets can simultaneously access the Web site using their PCs.
The Web server 21 determines whether the user requesting the access is a registered member (step 200b). If it is determined that the user is a registered member, step 200e is performed. Therefore, the Web server 21 provides an input window for entering a member ID on the Web site, and allows the user to enter his member ID in the input window (step 200e). The Web server 21 transmits the entered member ID to the security authentication server 23 to perform user authentication according to a user authentication procedure and transmits a confirmed result of the user authentication to the user (step 200f).
On the other hand, if the user is not a registered member, the user's PC 10 is connected to the Web server 21 to allow the user to enter his member information for member registration, requested by the member managing server 22 on the Web site (step
200c). The member managing server 22 completes the member registration of the user using the member information received from the user's PC 10 (step 200d).
After the member registration has been completed, the Web server 21 provides an input window for entering a member ID on the Web site, and allows the user to enter his or her member ID in the input window (step 200e). The Web server 21 transmits the entered member ID to the security authentication server 23 to perform user authentication according to the user authentication procedure and transmits a confirmed result of user authentication to the user (step 200f).
After that, the user is informed that he has successfully accessed the Web site through the user authentication, and the user's PC 10 achieves the access to the losing lottery ticket redrawing Web site (step 201).
After the access has been achieved, the user's PC 10 selects a menu item in a losing lottery ticket number input window before entering a losing lottery ticket number.
The simplest menu item is an item for classifying lotteries according to types. That is, the user selects the type of his losing lottery ticket, such as House lottery ticket, Ttotto lottery ticket, Chance lottery ticket, Lotto ticket and the like according to the types of lotteries, as the menu item.
In the embodiment, the menu items for the types of lotteries are classified into five menu items. That is, since an amount of lottery tickets are different in terms of their issued periods, issued numbers and drawing manners, the menu items are used to combine the tickets for eligibility in the redrawing.
A first menu item corresponds to drawing type lottery tickets which are issued weekly and have six-digit numbers, under which, for example, Sports lottery tickets, House lottery tickets and Super Double lottery tickets fall. A second menu item corresponds to drawing type lottery tickets which are issued monthly and have seven-digit numbers, under which, for example, Ttotto lottery tickets fall.
A third menu item corresponds to drawing type lottery tickets which are occasionally issued and have seven-digit numbers, under which, for example, Plus Plus lottery tickets fall. A fourth menu item corresponds to all scratch-off type lottery tickets.
A fifth menu item corresponds to, for example, Lotto tickets.
For reference, the first to fourth menu items represent lottery ticket numbers each having the corresponding number of digits (for example, million position, hundred thousand position, ten thousand position, thousand position, hundred position, ten position, one position), and the fifth menu item represents Lotto ticket numbers each having six independent component numbers not related to the digit-positions in terms of characteristics of Lotto tickets.
That is, the user selects one of the first to fifth menu items according to the type of his losing lottery ticket and enters his losing lottery ticket number. Each user enters the losing lottery ticket number using the user PC 10 (step 202), and transmits the losing lottery ticket number to the lottery redrawing server 30. The wim ing lottery ticket managing server 31 of the lottery redrawing server 30 compares the entered losing lottery ticket number with previously stored winning lottery ticket numbers to determine whether the entered losing lottery ticket number is one of the previously stored winning lottery ticket numbers (step 203).
In this case, the winning lottery ticket managing server 31 is connected to a lottery winning information providing server (not shown), etc. to receive winning numbers of winning lottery tickets in real time therefrom and stores the winning numbers. If it is determined that the entered losing lottery ticket number is not one of the previously stored winning lottery ticket numbers, the payment calculating server 34 transmits a payment window for payment to the Web server 21 to allow the user to pay a certain amount of money by entering payment information displayed in the payment window, and calculates the payments (step 204). After the payment has been completed in this way, the losing lottery ticket registering server 32 completes the registration of the losing lottery ticket number entered by the user's PC 10 (step 205).
After the registration of losing lottery ticket numbers has been completed, the losing lottery ticket registration frequency calculating server 33 calculates the frequencies of the losing lottery ticket numbers in real time (step 206). That is, the losing lottery ticket registration frequency calculating server 33 presets a deadline to finish the registration of losing lottery ticket numbers. Whenever losing lottery ticket numbers are registered, the losing lottery ticket registration frequency calculating server 33 calculates the frequency of each of the digits 0 to 9 in each position of each of the registered losing lottery ticket numbers in the case of lottery tickets numbers related to the digit-positions, and calculates the frequency of each component number of each of the registered losing lottery ticket numbers regardless of the digit-positions in the case of Lotto ticket numbers not related to the digit-positions.
In the former case, digits 0 to 9 with the highest frequencies and lowest frequencies in the positions of each of the losing lottery ticket numbers accordmg to the digit-positions are calculated and combined, and, in some cases, digits 0 to 9 with the middle frequencies thereof can be calculated and combined.
In the latter case, the component numbers of each of the losing lottery ticket numbers are arranged in descending order from a number which is most frequently registered, that is, a number with the highest frequency, to a number with the lowest frequency whenever losing lottery ticket numbers are registered, such that upper numbers with higher frequencies or lower numbers with lower frequencies are sequentially extracted from the losing lottery ticket numbers as the winning numbers and are provided in real time. In some cases, numbers with middle frequencies may be extracted therefrom. That is, in the case of Korea, the number of winning numbers is 6, so the six numbers with the highest frequencies in descending order can be the winning numbers. Alternatively, six numbers with the lowest frequencies in ascending order can be the winning numbers.
The redrawing is performed through the calculating process and finished, at the preset deadline, so the final winning numbers are determined.
A case of selecting House lottery tickets corresponding to the first menu item, and a case of selecting Lotto tickets corresponding to the fifth menu item are described with reference to the following Table 1 and Fig. 3, respectively.
First, House lottery tickets, which correspond to the first menu item representing six-digit drawing type lotteries, are described as an example with reference to Table 1. Table 1
Group Hundred Ten Thousand Hundred Ten One
Number thousand thousand Position Position position position position position
4(21,000) 3(13,000) 6(15,000) 1(14,000) 0(15,000) 4(13,000) 2(14,000)
3(19,000) 8(12,000) 5(13,000) 2(13,000) 2(14,000) 5(12,000) 1(12,000)
2(18,000)
1(16,000)
5(14,000) 1(10,000) 3(10,000) 0(10,000) 7(9,000) 8(10,000) 5(9,000)
6(12,000)
6(8,000) 7(6,000) 6(6,000) 4(7,000) 9(7,000) 7(8,000)
7(6,000) 8(5,000) 8(5,000) 5(4,000) 1(6,000) 9(7,000)
As indicated in Table 1, the user registers his losing lottery ticket number according to a group number, hundred thousand, ten thousand, thousand, hundred, ten and one positions.
As the result of the calculation of the registration frequencies of the losing lottery ticket numbers (on the basis of 100,000 tickets), 4 with the highest frequency of 21,000 in the group number, 3 with the highest frequency of 13,000 in the hundred thousand position, 6 with the highest frequency of 15,000 in the ten thousand position, 1 with the highest frequency of 14,000 in the thousand position, 0 with the highest frequency of 15,000 in the hundred position, 4 with the highest frequency of 13,000 in the ten position, and 2 with the highest frequency of 14,000 in the one position form a losing lottery ticket number with the highest frequency. That is, 4-th group 361,042 becomes a losing lottery ticket number with the highest frequency. On the contrary, it can be seen that a losing lottery ticket number with a lowest frequency becomes 6-th group 788, 519.
In this case, if the frequencies of the digits 0 to 9 in a specific position are the same, for example, if 1 with a second frequency in the one position is registered 14,000 times as same as 2 with a first frequency in the one position (14,000 times), there are two winning numbers, that is, 4-th group 361,042 and 4-th group 361,041. At this time, the prize amount is reduced to 1/2. On the other hand, a case of selecting Lotto tickets corresponding to the fifth menu item is described with reference to Fig. 3.
Fig. 3 is a view showing an example of final winning results at the time of redrawing Lotto tickets according to the present invention. Each user sequentially registers six component numbers of a losing lottery ticket number regardless of the digit-positions.
As the result of the calculation of the registration frequencies of the losing lottery ticket numbers, the six numbers with the highest frequencies are sequentially disclosed. Referring to Fig. 3, on the basis of 100,000 tickets, 11 is registered 8,500 times,
23 is registered 6,750 times, 41 is registered 5,200 times, 2 is registered 4,980 times, 27 is registered 2,090 times, 44 is registered 1,989 times, and 34 is registered 1,200 times. Therefore, only the six numbers with the highest frequencies are final winning numbers. That is, since six numbers with the highest frequencies regardless of the digit-positions are selected, it can be seen that 2, 11, 23, 27, 41 and 44 are the final winning numbers. It can be seen that the six numbers 2, 11, 23, 27, 41 and 44, not 34 with a seventh frequency, are winning numbers.
In this way, Lotto tickets are calculated in their frequencies such that their registered component numbers are sequentially arranged in the order of frequency from the highest frequency to the lowest frequency.
Therefore, after the calculation of the losing lottery ticket registration frequencies has been completed in this way, the losing lottery ticket registration frequency calculating server 33 and the payment calculating server 34 transmit the registration frequency calculation results of the losing lottery ticket numbers and the payment calculation results, respectively, to the user's PC 10 through the Web server 21 in real time as calculation results (step 207).
In this case, the calculation results include the registration frequency calculation information of the losing lottery tickets and the payment calculation information. Therefore, the user can receive current payment calculation results together with the losing lottery ticket registration results in real time.
In this case, values, transmitted to the user who selects the first menu item and displayed, can be losing lottery ticket numbers with any of the highest, lowest or middle frequency. However, in this embodiment, only losing lottery ticket numbers with the highest and lowest frequencies are displayed so as to increase gaming properties.
Further, values, transmitted to the user who selects the fifth menu item, and displayed, can be losing lottery ticket numbers each including six component numbers with the highest frequencies which are most frequently registered regardless of the digit- positions.
The calculation results are transmitted to users in real time, so the users ascertain their losing lottery ticket numbers while monitoring the frequency calculation results, and log in to the Web site by determining whether there are winning possibilities for them, thus increasing the participation of users. Further, a messenger service is provided to users so as to allow the users to monitor the calculation results transmitted in real time, thus enabling the users to more easily access the Web site.
After the preset deadline ends, one or more of the losing lottery ticket numbers with the liighest frequency, the lowest frequency and the middle frequency become winning numbers at the deadline in case of the first menu item. Further, a losing lottery ticket number comprised of six component numbers with the highest frequencies which are most frequently registered regardless of the digit-positions is extracted in case of the fifth menu item (step 208). Alternatively, a losing lottery ticket number comprised of six component numbers with the lowest frequencies can be extracted.
If the winning numbers of losing lottery ticket numbers are extracted, the losing lottery ticket registration frequency calculating server 33 determines whether losing lottery ticket numbers corresponding to the winning numbers exist in the lottery ticket registering server 32 (step 209). If it is determined that the losing lottery ticket numbers corresponding to the winning numbers do not exist, a corresponding prize amount is reserved for the next drawing (step 211). At this time, each of the users accesses the payment calculating server 34 to be able to ascertain a current reserved status of prize amounts and to refer to the reserved status to determine whether to participate in the next drawing. On the other hand, if it is determined that the losing lottery ticket numbers corresponding to the winning numbers exist, winning results are transmitted to corresponding user's PCs 10 (step 210).
Next, after a process of authenticating users and verifying the users' losing lottery ticket numbers corresponding to the winning numbers is carried out on the basis of payment bases of the total prize amount, the prize amount is paid to the users. In this case, manipulation of registering losing lottery ticket numbers several times to increase the frequencies of losing lottery ticket numbers registered by the users themselves must be prevented with respect to all losing lottery tickets including Lotto tickets. An example for this operation is to allow each of the users to carry actual lottery tickets corresponding to all losing lottery ticket numbers registered by the user (purchase details at the time of on-line purchase) and receipts thereof if the winning numbers are determined.
Further, if there is no winner in a corresponding redrawing number, the total prize amount is transferred to the next redrawing, wherein winners are selected on the basis of redrawing results in the next redrawing number and the prize amount is paid. Further, if two or more winners appear in a corresponding redrawing number, the prize amount is equally divided and paid to the winners.
As an example of the division of the prize amount, if only losing lottery ticket numbers with the highest frequency and the lowest frequency are determined to be winning numbers in the first menu item, 25% of the total payment amount paid by the users when the users register their losing lottery ticket numbers is paid to each of the winners as the prize amount.
Further, 30 % of the total payment amount is used as an operating cost, and the remaining 20% thereof is restored as funds for issuers of corresponding lotteries. Therefore, since funds are restored to the lottery issuers, lottery industries can be efficiently activated.
Industrial Applicability
As described above, the present invention provides a system and method for redrawing losing lottery tickets, in which lottery tickets can be effectively utilized by recycling losing lottery tickets, thus reducing the number of lottery tickets which are not sold and activating lottery industries, in which a redrawing process is provided to users in real time and the users can monitor their winning results in real time by providing the results of the registered losing lottery tickets to users in real time, thus raising the users' interests to increase the participation of users, and can be reliably and fairly performed by disclosing redrawing results in real time, and in which the redrawing process is disclosed to increase the reliability, thus accomplishing fair lottery culture.
