Abstract

The invention relates to a lighting device comprising a body in a transparent material and a light filter (20) placed in the inside of said body and interchangeable with other light filters variously coloured. The light filter is placed between a lighting lamp and at least the front side and the lateral sides of he body and it is opaque when the lights are off to hide the electrical apparatus inside the body.

Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a wall lighting device, in the form of applique.
Object and Summary of the Invention The object of this invention is to provide a lighting device realised through a new and original conformation and combination of elements and able to permit a chromatic change of the diffused light.
Such an object is achieved by a lighting device that incorporates a body in a transparent material, containing a lighting source and having, internally, at least along its front and lateral sides, a light filter interchangeable at request with others of different colours in order to obtain various lighting effects. Brief Description of the Invention
Further details of the invention will emerge from the following description carried out with reference to the enclosed drawings, indicative and not restrictive, in which:
Fig.1 shows a view of the device in use;
Fig.2 shows the inside of the device from above;
Fig.3 shows the inside of the device from the front side;
Fig.4 shows a transversal section of the device. Detailed Description of the Invention
The present lighting device includes a transparent body 11 , preferably made of glass, in a substantially prismatic shape and delimitating a space 12 housing an electrical apparatus 13 with one or more lighting lamps 14 as a light source.
The transparent body 11 has a front side 15 and two lateral sides 16 that rise from a base side 17 that could be smooth, embossed or otherwise with other shape. The lateral and front sides bear a lid 18 on the upper part. The body 11 is also provided with means for fixing the device to the wall. Inside of the body 11 , at least close to its front side 15 and preferably to the lateral sides too, is located a plastic support 19 bearing a interchangeable lighting filter interchangeable in the form of reflecting film 20. The light filter or film 20 is provided so that when the light source 14 is off, it results opaque hiding the internal electrical apparatus that otherwise would be inaesthetically visible through the transparent body. When the internal light source is on, the light passes through the light filter or film 20 and through the body base side 20, spreading it in the environment. The light filter can be variously coloured, and the substitution with others allows to obtain several effects of light chromatically different depending on the surrounding environment and/or on the user demand.

Claims

LIGHTING DEVICE WITH INTERCHANGEABLE LIGHT COLOURED FILTER
CLAIMS 1. A lighting device characterised by a body in a transparent material and by a light filter (20) placed in the inside of said body and interchangeable with other light filters variously coloured.
2. Lighting device according to claim 1 , in which the said body (11) is made of glass and has a front side (15) and two lateral sides (16) that rise from a base side (17) and that bear on the upper part a lid (18), said sides bounding a space for a electrical apparatus with at least a lighting lamp.
3. Lighting device according to the claims 1 and 2, in which the interchangeable light filter is placed between the lighting lamp and at least the front side and the lateral sides of the body.
4. Lighting device according to any of the previous claims, in which the light filter is applied to a support (19) located inside the body adjacently to the frontal and lateral sides.
5. Lighting device according to the previous claims, in which the light filter is composed by a film that is opaque when the lights are off to hide the electrical apparatus inside the body.
