Abstract

The present invention provides a golf putting mat including functions of functions of controlling slopes of the putting mat, that golf trainee can practice in the environment close to the real field controlling the upper side of the putting mat. According to a principal aspect of the present invention, golfer trainee can practice putting more effectively on the virtual green (5) controlling the slope of it like one in a real field. Also trainers can expect lots of effects from using the present golf putting mat. A first embodiment comprises lots of control board (28, 29) linked by elasticity connector (30) such as a spring, and each of them can be controlled its height by height controller (6) and golfer can practice with chosen slopes of the virtual green (5) as trainee wants setting a hole cup as a standard. These features and advantages in accordance with the present invention can provide trainee more effectiveness in practice same to the real game. Also the trainee can choose practice method according to one’s ability, such as putting of straight line and slight inclination. In addition, golfer can enjoy light metallic sound like one in a real field when golf ball (8) goes in the hole cup (7) and the golf ball (8) retrieve to the position of golfer, that golfer get more the effect of practice.

Description

Title of Invention

Golf Putting Mat

1 ) Technical Field The present invention will provide a new golf putting mat that overcome the limitation of the previous one keeping many problems such as objective just for pleasure and ineffectiveness by using limited slopes.

So the present invention contains the technical issues of golf putting mat having controllable slopes as golfers want. Therefore to complete the technical issues, the present invention designs the method controlling the slope up and down as golfers likes, Sp golfers can practice repeatedly in the environment having slopes same to one in real field and exercise putting practice more effectively.

2) Background Art The present invention provides a golf putting mat including functions of functions of controlling slopes of the putting mat, that golf trainee can practice in the environment close to the real field controlling the upper side of the putting mat.

One round in golf game consists of 18 holes and each slope around the hole cup has its own characteristics. In fact there isn't any identical slope around the hole cup.

Though golfer can practice various slopes around the hole cup in the field at low price In some countries, golfers have to usually go to an indoor golf range for workout and the cost is too expensive to enjoy. As well golf putting mat and other establishment of indoor golf range are only ostensible.

In other words, the previous golf putting mat has the surface(green around the hole cup) without slope and this enables golfers only to practice straight line putting.

And some putting mat has surface with little slope by controlling the height of 4 edges. But it makes the whole surface to lift up only one side and is quite different from real slopes. So golfers can't train themselves to be adapted to slopes in real green.

In conclusion, the previous golf putting mat can't be used for effective practice method but for pleasure. There remains a need to overcome such problems typically found in the previous golf putting mat. The present invention seeks to satisfy such a need.

3) Disclosure of Invention

Figure 1 is environmental, perspective view of exemplary embodiment of the present invention. And figure 2 is cross sectional view of inner constitution of the present invention. As shown in these drawings the invention could be explained as following.

The present invention can be used for various putting practice, such as straight line putting for the beginners, putting controlling the plain slope for the intermediate leamers, and putting with various slopes for advanced learners and professionals.

To be these functions available, the present invention have two height controllers - slope controller -. One is used in controlling 4 edges's height of frame(2) comprising in golf putting mat and the other controls the height of each virtual green(5) of flexible type case by case.

The frame(2) has regular length (about 3M) for putting practice and is roughly rectangular. Also the upper side of the frame(2) is opened and the flexible virtual green(5) is established at the upper side so that the slopes of virtual green(5) are controlled partially by height controller. We will state about constitution of the virtual green(5) later.

The section of virtual green(5) consists of 3 hole cup, one in the center and other is in the each side.

On lower side of the hole cup has exhaust hopper(9) having a little inclination for retrieving balls is set. Also the exhaust hopper(9) links with retrieval tube of golf ball(10). So retrieval tube of golf ball(10) extending to position of golfer and retrieval hole of golf ball(11) also reaches to golfers.

Laying part(9a) is built in a form that golfers can use resonator(14) consisted of resonance space(12) and exhaust hole(13) as they choose in the position of falling the ball from exhaust hopper(9), that golfer can enjoy light metallic sound equal to occurring sound in the real field.

The height controller(3) establish in 4 edges of frame(2) can control the height of 4 edges part of the frame(2), so as shown in figure 4, control screw(16) is established vertically as a shaft in the center of control casing(5) fixed on the 4 edges part of frame(2) by fastening bolt(15a).

Material of rising and falling(18) including nut(10) controlling up and down is formed as dividing type and fixed on control screw(16) using fastening bolt(19). Post(20) and fixing support of rising and falling(22) is on the right and left side of material of rising and falling(18). On one side, post(20) to lead up-and- down movement of material of rising and falling(18) stably is fixed, fixing support of rising and falling(22) is planted to control the intervals of top and bottom between supporter(21) fixed on the bottom and frame(2) according to the ascending and descending of material of rising and falling(18).

The combined part of fixing support of rising and falling(22) and supporter(21) is shaped as a hemisphere, that's principal part of combinational a), so that fixing support of rising and falling(22) control up-and-down movement with fixed angle. And the bottom part of fixing support of rising and falling(22), that's section(22a), also is shaped as a hemisphere. Then the two parts are coupled in pinned bolt(23).

Cap(26) including coupling space(24,25) is fixed on the upper side of control casing(15) using fastening bolt(27), that the upper side of control screw(16) and post(20) maintain to revolve. And the upper side of control screw(16) is protruded above coupling space(24) of cap(26) and on the section of it hexagonal or square wrench combination(16a) is tied so that control the revolving of control screw(16).

On the right and left side of it, stopper(16a) of flange type is attached so as to prevent the equipment from wrong working or damage occurred by excessive controlling of user's mistake in case of controlling the ascending and descending of material of rising and falling(18).

In addition, as shown in figure 5 numerous control board(28,29) is connected in the direction of length and using elasticity connector(3) like a mutual spring is linked each other, that golfers can control slopes of the virtual green(5) partially or entirely. In other words, connecting rod(31) is fixed horizontally on the control board(29, 29) and elasticity connector is interposed between them, that as one of control board(29) is controlled up and down, next control board(29) is gear with it at the same time. So the slope is controlled without disparity.

The linkage part of bolts and machine screw, protrusion part(32) of hemisphere shape and sunken part(33) of hemisphere shape, is planted on corresponding side between one and the next control board, and preserve their mutual coupling so to prevent control board(28,29) from separating and preserve controlled angle.

Connecting rod(34) is fixed on both side of each control board(28,29) and is linked with fixing support of rising and falling(35) of height controller(6).

Material of rising and falling(18) including nut(10) controlling up and down is formed as dividing type and fixed on control screw(16) using fastening bolt(19).

Post(20) and fixing support of rising and falling(22) is on the right and left side of material of rising and falling(18). On one side, post(20) to lead up-and- down movement of material of rising and falling(18) stably is fixed, fixing support of rising and falling(22) is planted to control the intervals of top and bottom between supporter(21) fixed on the bottom and frame(2) according to the ascending and descending of material of rising and falling(18).

It's exemplary to establish height controller(6) of control board(28,29) at an interval of one or two pieces to the next control board(28,29), the upper side of control board(28,29) is covered with artificial mat(4), and preventing rise of separation(46) is attached on the both side to prevent moving of artificial mat(4) and separating of golf ball(8). preventing rise of separation(46) is attached on control board altogether or separately, so does connecting rod(34).

The method controlling slope and process of putting practice using the present invention is described in detail as following.

Golfer can practice to choose the putting style of straight line putting and putting with slope according to his capacity.

In case of straight line putting practice, golf ball(δ) is set on the putting position(P) of artificial mat(4) on the upper side of golf putting mat(1), and then as shown in figure 11, golfer choose one among the 3 hole cups on the opposite side of frame(2), and then he can practice using putter.

As golf ball got in hole cup(7) falls on resonator(14) established on exhaust hopper(9), the air in resonator(14) is resonant. So golfers can be more excited listening to the light metallic sound like one in the real field.

The ball falling on exhaust hopper(9) is exhausted through retrieval tube of golf ball(10), and retrieval hole of golf ball(11), and retrieves to the position of golfer.

In case that golfers tend to practice putting on the slope inclined in specific direction by controlling height of one among 4 edges of frame(2), golfer can control one more height controller established on the each edges of frame(2). As wrench combination(16a) on the upper side of control screw(16) of the height controller(3) is turn using wrench, users make control screw(16) to revolve in the right opposition and then material of rising and falling(18) linked with it ascends or descends with post(20) guiding the movement, fixing support of rising and falling(22) fixed on the side of material of rising and falling(18) controls the ascending and descending, and intervals of top and bottom between supporter(21) coupling with pinned bolt(23) on the lower part of fixing support of rising and falling(22) and frame(2). In conclusion, users can control the height of frame(2) and inclination of virtual green(5).

The lower part of fixing support of rising and falling(22) is consisted of section of hemisphere(22a) and also corresponding side of supporter(21) in comprised in principal part of combinational a) of hemisphere shape. So fixing support of rising and falling(22) and supporter(21) preserve the linkage stably as frame(2) has the inclination controlled by height controller. Consequently frame(2) is supported stably even if angles between supporter(21) and fixing support of rising and falling(22) is generated by controlling inclination of frame(2).

And golfers can control the slope of which part he wants by controlling each height controller(δ) of one among numerous control board(28,29) constituting virtual green(5) because the present invention provide them to make the slope of the upper side of virtual green(5) have desirable angle.

In other words, as wrench combination (16a) on the upper side of control screw(16) is turn using wrench, users make control screw(16) to revolve in the right opposition and then material of rising and falling(18) linked with it ascend or descend with post(20) guiding the movement. Then fixing support of rising and falling(35) is fixed in material of rising and falling(39) is controlled ascending or descending. And control board(28,29) linked with fixing support of rising and falling(35) by connecting rod(34) controls the slope of the virtual green(5) that relevant control board(28,29) is planted. So golfers can practice putting in various method regarding one of hole cups(7) as a target as shown in figure 11.

As one control board(28,29) and the next consist of protrusion part(32) and sunken part(33) of mutual bolts and machine screw type, they are linked by elasticity controller(30) and preserve the linkage of the inclination because mutual linked side preserve elastic linkage by protrusion part(32) and sunken part(33) if one of control board(28,29) has inclination by height controlling. And as upper side of control board(28,29) is covered with artificial mat(4), the upper side of virtual green(5) become one having slope like in the field.

6) Industrial Applicability

In view of foregoing description, the present invention is for enthusiasts in golf. According to a principal aspect of the present invention, golfer trainee can practice putting more effectively on the virtual green(5) controlling the slope of it like one in a real field. Also trainers can expect lots of effects from using the present golf putting mat.

1. A golf putting mat including virtual green(5) comprised in one more hole cup(7) on the upper side of the frame(2) as claimed :

A golf putting mat comprising : Height controller controlling the height of edges is established on the 4 edges of the frame(2) : Numerous control board(28,29) covered with artificial mat(4) is coupled on the said virtual green(5) with elasticity controller(3) through numerous connecting rod (31 ) in width : connecting rod(34) is planted on the both side of the said control board(28,29) and it is linked with height controller(6), that enables to control the height of control board(28,29) and make virtual green(5) have slope partially.

A golf putting mat of claim 1 , the said height controller(3) is fixed on the 4 edges of the frame(2) by fastening bolt(15a) : Wrench combination(16a) is attached on the control casing(15) that cap(26) includes coupling space(24,25) and is fixed on it : Control screw(16) that stopper(16b) is planted on the upper and lower side is established vertically as a shaft in the center : material of rising and falling(18) having nut(17), that is coupled with control screw(16) and enables to ascend and descend, is constructed as the divided type and connected by fastening bolt(19) : post(20) guiding ascending and descending is combined on the one side of material of rising and falling(18) : On the other side of it fixing support of rising and falling(22) is established, that the upper side of fixing support of rising and falling(22) is fixed on the material of rising and falling(18) and lower side of it is connected with supporter(21) and pinned bolt(23).

A golf putting mat of claim 1 , connecting rod(34) and height controller(6) linked with the said control board(28,29) is fixed on the inner corresponding side of frame(2) using fastening bolt(36a) : Wrench combination (16a) is attached on the control casing(15) that cap(26) includes coupling space(24,25) and is fixed on it : Control screw(16) that stopper(16b) is planted on the upper and lower side is established vertically as a shaft in the center : material of rising and falling(18) having nut(17), that is coupled with control screw(16) and enables to ascend and descend, is constructed as the divided type and connected by fastening bolt(19) : post(20) guiding ascending and descending is combined on the one side of material of rising and falling(18) : On the other side of it fixing support of rising and falling(22) is established, that the upper side of fixing support of rising and falling(22) is fixed on the material of rising and falling(18) and lower side of it is connected with supporter(21) and pinned bolt(23).

5. A golf putting mat of claim 1 , protrusion part(32) and sunken part(33), that prominence and depression type, is corresponded mutually on the linked side of the said control board(28,29)
