Description

GLIDING ELEMENT PREFERABLY FOR SKIS OR FOR GLIDING BOARDS
The subject matter of the invention is the gliding element preferably for skis or for gliding boards which is used while producing skis or gliding boards.
There is known, from the Polish Patent Specification no 145 625 a gliding surface of the ski particularly a ski for running, having a longitudinal groove. The surface of the ski is roll formed in the middle part of the ski. The roll forming has only stright edges which are parallel or perpendicular to the going direction. The surface of the ski characterised by that, the profile created as mentioned above is placed on the surface where the ski touches snow, wherein every pair of the neighbouring rows of the edges, which are useful while going up, are situated on the gliding arc. The average lenght of the edge is the smallest in the knocking off area, and it increases constantly or not to the direction of the front or the end of the ski, wherein the average lenght is the highest in the ending part of the roll forming surface.
From the French Patent Specification no. RE 36586, there is known a shaped ski having: a non - rectangular cross section and a filling core made of polyuretane foam, a shell forming the upper face and a lower face equipped with longitudinal metal edges. The ski includes two longitudinal reinforcement elements which are not covered laterally by the shell and they are forming the narrow sides of the ski in the binding mounting area of the ski.
The goal of t e present invention is to obtain the gliding element which increases the safety by providing the extra side surfaces and the extra side edges. The gliding element preferably for skis or for gliding boards according to the present invention has the bottom gliding surface, side surfaces and the upper surface, characterised by that it has the side longitudinal shaped surfaces placed on the side surfaces and on the whole or on the part of their height, which are protruding beyond the outline of the gliding surface. The external edges of the side longitudinal shaped surfaces have reinforcement elements, prefarably longitudinal inserts, made of metal. The side longitudinal shaped surface is a monolithic part of the gliding element or it is an extra element .
The gliding element according to the invention increases safety while skiing particularly while turning, by having the extra side longitudinal edges which are situated on the side surfaces. The element increases the side surface by shaping it. The side shaped surface which is an extra element could be readjusted to the local coditions as well as to the skills of the skier.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the picture where fig 1 shows the view from the gliding surface, which is the part of the outline of the side longitudinal shaped surfaces which are protruding beyond the outline of the gliding surface, fig 2 shows the part of the cross section of the outer flat outline of the side longitudinal surface with the reinforcement elements, fig 3 shows the part of the cross section of the outer flat outline of the side longitudinal surface on the extra element, Fig 4 shows the part of the cross section of the outer stepped outline of the side longitudinal surface with the reinforcement elements on the edges, fig 5 shows the part of the cross section of the outer stepped outline of the side longitudinal surface on the extra element, fig 6 shows the part of the cross section of the outer wavy outline of the side longitudinal suriao≥ with the reinforcement elements on the edges, fig 7 shows the part of the cross section of the outer wavy outline of the side longitudinal surface on the extra element, fig 8 shows the part of the cross section of the outer concave outline of the side longitudinal surface with the reinforcement elements, fig 9 shows the part of the cross section of the outer concave outline of the side longitudinal surface on the extra element, fig 10 shows the part of the cross section of the outer convex outline of the side longitudinal surface with the reinforcement elements, fig 11 shows the part of the cross section of the outer convex outline of the side longitudinal surface on the extra element. The gliding element preferably for skis or for gliding boards according to the invention has the bottom gliding surface, side surfaces Si-r the upper surface has the side longitudinal shaped surfaces l_placed on the side surfaces and on the whole or on the part of their height, which are protruding beyond the outline 2 of the gliding surface 3. The external edges of the side longitudinal shaped surfaces I could have the lateral outer flat outline 4, or stepped outline 5, or wavy outline 6, or concave outline 7, or convex outline 8. The shaped surfaces have reinforcement elements 9 prefarably longitudinal inserts, and the side longitudinal shaped surface \ is a monolithic part of the gliding element or it is an extra element JO. The element JjO is made of the same material as the gliding element, or of polyurethane, or of metal, and could be used for producing the gliding elements which have the known shapes of the side surface.
