Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé selon lequel il est possible de diagnostiquer objectivement la schizophrénie en utilisant comme indication le niveau d'expression d'un gène, ledit procédé consistant à déterminer si le niveau d'expression d'un acide nucléique spécifiant un gène qui présente une modification de son niveau d'expression liée à la schizophrénie, chez un sujet soumis à un essai, tombe statistiquement à l'intérieur de la plage du niveau d'expression de sujets normaux. Ce procédé se caractérise en ce qu'il implique une étape de quantification du niveau d'expression d'un acide nucléique spécifiant un gène qui présente une modification de son niveau d'expression liée à la schizophrénie et/ou d'une protéine codée par l'acide nucléique ci-dessus spécifiant un gène qui présente une modification de son niveau d'expression liée à la schizophrénie dans un prélèvement recueilli chez un sujet soumis à un essai.
