Abstract

The invention relates to a method for determining the methylation pattern in DNA-sequences whereby non-methylated cytosine in the DNA-sequence is chemically converted to uracil and the thus treated DNA-sequence is hybridised by a detector-DNA-sequence. The hybrids are fixed in a locally dissolved manner on a surface. Subsequently, the detection of guanine/uracil-mispairing occurs by using substances detected by said mispairings.
