Abstract
This invention relates to a multi key button having 3 contact points in one key button for easy and prompt input the letters in small keypad including twelve keys configured in an arrangement of three columns by four rows, such as conventionally found on cellular/mobile telephones, television remote controls, Personal Digital Assistants, and other electronic devices. The 3 contact points are positioned beneath a key button in a triangular form, and these key buttons provide a user with the ability to select only one letter of the 3 letters/symbols represented on a key button in a mutually exclusive manner. And the 3 contact point key buttons will be configured in zigzag or alternative arrangement methods to reduce the mis-keystroke caused by near key buttons in the small keypad.
Description
3 Contact Points Key Buttons in Small Keypad
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates to a ulti key button having 3 contact points in one key button for prompt and correct inputting the letters using the small keypad in the cellular/mobile telephones, Personal Digital Assistants, and other small potable electronic devices.
In the traditional methods of inputting the letters, the user has faced in the unfavorable result of wasting the times and some pains to the user caused by the several times of tapping the key button to find the intend letter in the keypad.
And there are some incorrect inputting the letter by tapping the closed near key buttons together, because the area of the keypad is very small and the gab between the key and key buttons is very narrow.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
To solve these problems, install the multi key buttons which have the 3 mechanical and electrical contact points and 3 individual characters corresponding of it for prompt and correct inputting of the letters by once tapping of the key.
And these key buttons will be configured in zigzag or alternative arrangement methods to reduce the mistakes of keystroke caused by adjacent key buttons in the small keypad.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
After making the "U" or "Ω" shaped multi key button, the main number/letter will be positioned at the main letter pushing site (2) in the middle part of the key button and the other letters will be positioned at the
subsidiary letter pushing site (3) (4) in the both side of the key buttons.
And the input switch pushing bar (5) is positioned beneath the each letter pushing site of the key button, and the 3contact points (A) (B) (C) corresponding of the input switch pushing bar (5) are positioned in a triangular form.
Therefore, these key buttons will provide a user with the ability to select only one letter among the 3 letters represented on a key button in a mutually exclusive manner.
And also these key buttons will reduce the mistakes by the simultaneous keystroke, because the contact points (A) turns on the axis of the other two contact points(B) (C) .
And the 3 contact point key buttons will be configured in zigzag or alternative arrangement methods shown in Fig.4, 5, 6, 7 for reducing the mistakes of the keystroke caused by adjacent key buttons in the small keypad area of the cellular/mobile telephones and Personal Digital Assistants.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGG
The invention will be described with reference to the appended drawings, where:
Fig.l is a perspective view of the "U" shaped 3 contact point key button.
Fig.2 is a perspective view of the "Ω" shaped 3 contact point key button.
Fig.3 is a bottom view of the "U" shaped 3 contact point key button.
Fig.4 is a reference view of the zigzag arrangements of the 3 contact point key buttons.
Fig.5 is a reference view of the reverse arrangements of the 3 contact point key buttons.
Fig.6 is a reference view of the composite arrangements of the 3 contact point key buttons.
Fig.7 is a reference view of the mixed arrangements of the 3 contact point key buttons. Fig.8 is a reference view of the arrangements of the 3 contact point key buttons in the keypad of the cellular telephones.
NUMERALS
1. 3 contact point key button 2. Main letter pushing site
3. Left subsidiary letter pushing site
4. Right subsidiary letter pushing site
5. Input switch pushing bar
BEST MODE FOR CARRING OUT THE INVENTION
The arrangement of these 3 contact point key buttons instead of the twelve keys configured in an arrangement of 3 columns by 4 rows, such as conventionally found on cellular telephone keypad, provide many individual inputting keys more than 26 alphabet letters at least. Therefore, these key buttons will provide a user with the ability to input each one letter speedy and correctly like as the key of the computer keyboard, and also these key buttons will save the times and reduce the fatigue of their hands. And the figure of the "U" or "Ω" shaped multi key buttons provide a user to choose and select the correct position of the inputting letter more conveniently.
And the zigzag and/or alternative arrangement of the 3 contact point key buttons will extend the gab between the adjacent key buttons, and reduce the mistakes of the letter inputs caused by the closed key buttons each other in the small keypad.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
These 3 contact point key buttons are very convenient for quick internet searching and easy letter inputting on cellular/mobile telephones, Personal Digital Assistants, television remote controls and other electronic devices, because the user can input each one letter among 26 alphabet letters respectively by one stroke like as the key of the computer keyboard.
