The invention relates to a fastening device which can be fixed to general pieces of equipment, such as switches, network servers, photocopiers, sound equipment, televisions, microwave ovens, etc., and, in particular, to computer equipment. The inventive device provides an attachment point on the aforementioned pieces of equipment which can be used primarily to add anchoring elements, among others, thereby protecting the equipment against theft and unauthorised relocation and securing the internal components of the CPU by locking the cover thereof. In terms of said specific application, the device can also be used to secure peripherals (monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam, etc.). The small, easy-to-install device secures all of the components of the equipment at a single point. Said device comprises a fastener which is fixed to the equipment preferably using one of the locking screws. Adicionalmente, al emplear el dispositivo sobre equipo de cómputo, este elemento permite a la vez asegurar los periféricos , por lo que convenientemente utilizaremos un candado (2) simple, totalmente comercial, como cualquiera que sea usado para puertas o ventanas, y su descripción se enfocará a su aspecto funcional. Su gancho ((5) en la Fig. 3) se inserta en las perforaciones laterales (10) del sujetador, una vez fijo al equipo. Como dicho gancho cruza por la cavidad (7) del sujetador justo atrás de la corona (9) , una vez que se cierra impide el acceso de cualquier herramienta para retirar el tornillo de fijación -ver detalle en la Fig. 1-. Para asegurar los periféricos -monitor, teclado, mouse, bocinas , Webcam , etc . - , el candado atrapa los correspondientes cables de señal entre su gancho . Una vez que se ha montado el candado en el sujetador, como lo muestra la Fig. 3, y antes de cerrarlo , se introducen los cables de datos de los periféricos en el espacio libre del gancho, de modo que de un lado se ubiquen los periféricos y del otro sus conectores . Asi al cerrar el candado, los mismos conectores de los cables impiden que salgan , ya que no pueden pasar por el espacio que se forma entre el brazo libre del gancho y la corona (9) del sujetador; sin embargo los cables pueden deslizarse y seguirse enchufando normalmente al CPU. La Fig. 3 muestra el ensamble del sujetador y el candado ya cerrado, con el cable de un periférico cruzando como se ha descrito, sólo para propósitos de ejemplo. Es aquí donde se aprecia la función que cumple la corona (9) del sujetador, la cual es precisamente limitar el espacio dentro del gancho, de modo que permita albergar los cables y a la vez impida el paso de sus conectores.The use of a locking element on the fastener has the main function of preventing, in a non-permanent way, access to the fixing screw; therefore it must have some type of lock for its closing and release.
