  • lids according to the invention can be made by injection molding. However, injection molding is not preferred. It is preferred that the lids according to the invention be made using a thermoforming or vacuum forming process, which will greatly enhance their suitability for disposable use. In fact, their structure, makes them ideal for manufacture by thermoforming or vacuum forming since they do not require different thicknesses for structural integrity or complex shapes for assembly or operation, which would eliminate thermoforming and vacuuming forming as an option. While the invention has been specifically described in connection with certain specific embodiments thereof, it is to be understood that this is by way of illustration and not of limitation. Reasonable variation and modification are possible within the scope of the forgoing description and drawings without departing from the spirit of the invention.
