Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de fournir de la vidéo à la demande à partir d'un fournisseur de services jusqu'à un site client. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant: à créer au moins un profil client associé à un site client, le profil client indiquant les préférences du client pour un matériau vidéo présentant des caractéristiques spécifiques; à sélectionner un matériau vidéo supposé satisfaire aux préférences du client, tel qu'indiqué par le profil client; à transmettre le matériau vidéo au site client et à stocker le matériau vidéo dans des moyens de stockage de masse pouvant être activés par le client afin d'extraire le matériau de vidéo à la demande. Le matériau vidéo est ensuite affiché sur un dispositif d'affichage associé à la manière d'une séance de vidéo à la demande classique.
