STRIP FOR BANDING A STACK OP BANK NOTES
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention relates to the field of packing of bank notes stacked
and may be used, for example, in a bank system.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
It is known that there is the packing for banding of bank notes
which represents a loop formed by alignment of two bands. The ends of
the bands are interconnected, the loop made is increased by shifting of
the bands forming the loop up to the size which is somewhat bigger in
comparison with the dimensions of the stack being banded; then one of
the loop's bands is taken aside, the product is entered into the loop, the
loop is tightened around the product and the loop's bands are connected
with the section of the draw bands (RU, Cl, 2078011).
This engineering solution in itself is rather complicated and, in
addition, provides for a complex technology of its implementation. The
packing material must be durable, the application of normal paper is
practically impossible.
It is known that there is the packing for banding of a stack of bank
notes which represents the set of two mutually perpendicular rings
interconnected at a crossover point (RU, Cl, 2073626). The description
of the patent contains the information that the rings are made of
polyethylene and interconnected by sealing; the rings are made during
banding.
This engineering solution has been accepted as a prototype of the
invention.
Its imperfection is that the packing is complicated, since it consists
of two rings which have to be interconnected to avoid of their
displacement and increase reliability. For this purpose, it is practically
necessary to make the rings either of polyethylene or of two-layer
material including paper and polyethylene or cellophane. The
availability of two rings interconnected causes the design complexity of
the packing and slows down banding of stacks of bank notes which is
also complicated by the fact that the packing rings are made during
banding.
The banding takes place directly in a bank, and the parallel making
of the rings requires an extra equipment to be specially installed in a
bank. It is unpractical because the areas in a bank are very expensive.
The bank notes slide relative to the packing due to their contact with
polyethylene or cellophane.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The objective of this invention is to create a simple, safe and
inexpensive packing which would also allow to simplify and cheapen
banding of a stack of bank notes.
As per this invention, this objective is reached owing to the fact that
the packing for banding of a stack of bank notes is made in the form of
one transversal ring, and this ring can be made before banding. The
width of the ring may be 0.2-0.45 of a bank note length; the ring can be
made of one-layer paper material.
The applicant for a patent has not found any information sources
which would contain any data about engineering solutions identical to
the claimed one. In the applicant's opinion, this allows to conclude that
the invention meets the criteria "newness" (N).
The implementation of the invention's features provides for an
important new characteristic of the packing which is as follows: the
necessity of interconnecting of the packing components is excluded;
due to this, it is not required to make rings of polyethylene or of two-
layer material including paper and polyethylene. As a result, the cost of
the packing is reduced, the banding of a stack of bank notes is
simplified and cheapened.
The applicant has not discovered any information about the
influence of the invention's features on the technical effect achieved.
This fact allows to conclude that the engineering solution being claimed
meets the criteria "inventive standard" (IS)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The invention is later on explained by the detailed description of its
implementation with the references to the drawings which show:
figure 1 - a packing and a stack of bank notes before banding;
figure 2 - a banded stack of bank notes.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
The packing for banding of Stack of bank notes 1 is made in the
form of Transversal ring 2. Ring 2 is fabricated in advance, before
beginning of banding of Stack of bank notes 1 outside the room where
the banding takes place, for example, in a printing house. To hold bank
notes in a stack more safely by only one ring, its width "b" is 0.2 to
0.45 of a bank note length «L». Ring 2 is made of one-layer paper band
by adhesion of the ends of its cut pieces. The diameter of the ring suits
the perimeter of Stack of bank notes and depends on their type and rated
value.
Stack of bank notes 1 is slightly folded in a transverse direction and
entered into Ring 2. Stack of bank notes 1 is unfolded and takes the
initial form after Ring 2 is fixed on it. The ring strains and tightly
wrings out the stack from all sides. The bank notes are safely fixed in
the stack due to the fact that the ring is wide enough and is made of
paper without use of sliding materials (polyethylene, cellophane).
The banding can be carried out manually or with use of machines.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
The packing for banding is manufactured in a plant conditions with
application of widespread standard equipment and cheap materials. In
this connection, one can conclude that the invention meets the criteria
"industrial applicability" (IA)
