Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de mesure d'un paramètre prédéterminé présentant une relation connue par rapport au temps de parcours de mouvement d'une onde énergétique à travers un milieu selon la demande internationale PCT/IL00/00241, publiée le 9 novembre 2000 sous la publication internationale n° WO 00/67013, l'onde énergétique à répétition cyclique émise et reçue étant une onde porteuse électromagnétique modulée en amplitude par une onde de modulation électromagnétique à répétition cyclique. L'onde porteuse modulée en amplitude reçue est démodulée, le point de référence de l'onde démodulée étant utilisé pour modifier la fréquence de l'onde de modulation de façon que le nombre d'ondes démodulées reçues soit un nombre entier. Selon un autre aspect, l'onde démodulée reçue peut être modifiée par un multiple entier de 360 avant son utilisation pour modifier la fréquence de l'onde de modulation, ce qui permet d'ajouter une distance artificielle à la mesure, notamment lorsqu'une fréquence relativement élevée est utilisée, d'où une longueur d'onde relativement faible, ou lorsque la distance de parcours entre l'émetteur et le récepteur est relativement courte.
