Abstract

An acid-modified propylene polymer satisfying the following (1) to (3). The intrinsic viscosity [η] (as measured in decalin at 135°C): 1 dL/g or higher. The ratio of acid content to the number of polymer chains (ß value): from 0.5 to 3.0. The content of components having molecular weight Mw of 10,000 or lower (LP content): 0.5 wt.% or lower. The content of unreacted acid (compound containing ethylenic double bond and polar group in the same molecule): 2 wt.% or lower. The polymer has a high molecular weight and retains properties of the raw propylene polymer. It is hence usable as a film or molding.
