Abstract

Verfahren zum Abtrennen von Partikeln aus einer flüssigen Dispersion, insbesondere zum Abtrennen von korpuskulären Bestandteilen aus biologischen Proben, vor allem aus Blut. Ein zur Durchführung des Verfahrens geeignetes Trennmodul weist ein Substrat (5) mit Strömungskanälen (3), umfassend einen Zuflusskanal (9) zum Zuführen der Dispersion zu einer Verzweigung (10), einen ersten Abflusskanal (11) zum Ableiten von Fluid mit verminderter Partikelkonzentration von der Verzweigung (10) weg and einen zweiten Abflusskanal (12) zum Ableiten von Fluid mit erhöhter Partikelkonzentration von der Verzweigung (10) weg, auf. Das Fluid strömt in dem zweiten Abflusskanal so viel schneller als in dem ersten Abflusskanal (12), dass die dispergierten Partikel an der Verzweigung (10) aufgrund der unterschiedlichen Strömungsgeschwindigkeit bevorzugt in dem zweiten Abflusskanal (12) weiterströmen.
