Abstract

The invention relates to a weaving method that can be used to produce articles which have a warp made up of yarns directly using a weaving beam (2). The inventive method consists in: producing a warped chain comprising a total number of threads (1) that corresponds to the article to be made, said chain being produced directly on a beam (2) which can be adapted to the weaving loom; and, subsequently, using one such beam (2) to form a fabric in the conventional manner. Said method is characterised in that the sheet of warp (1) is subdivided into two basic sheets (1a, 1b) immediately after said sheet of warp (1) has been taken up from the storage beam (2) and before it is passed around the turning roll (3). The aforementioned basic sheets are subjected individually to a sizing or finishing treatment and are subsequently combined to form a single sheet after drying and before being passed around the turning roll (3).

Description

PROCEDE DE REALISATION D'UN TISSU CHAINE ET TRAME ET MACHINE A TISSER PERMETTANT SA MISE EN ŒUVRE. PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A CHAIN AND WEFT FABRIC AND WEAVING MACHINE FOR IMPLEMENTING IT.
The present invention relates to an improved process for producing a warp and weft fabric; it also relates to an improved weaving machine allowing the implementation of such a process.
The production of warp and weft fabrics implies, before the actual weaving operation, that a succession of preparation operations must be carried out both with regard to the weft threads and the warp threads.
Une telle opération relativement délicate à mettre en œuvre, est pratiquement abandonnée de nos jours et a été remplacée par des systèmes faisant appel à des lubrifiants liquides dits "ensimage".Concerning the weft threads which, in general, are stored in the form of a reel, it is imperative that they unwind easily and very regularly. As a result, during the winding operation, in particular in the case of fiber yarns, the sliding properties of the wire are improved by covering it with a thin lubricating film which, for a very long time, was obtained by a waxing operation. or drawing by passing the wire during the winding operation between two blocks of paraffin. Such a relatively delicate operation to implement, is practically abandoned nowadays and has been replaced by systems using liquid lubricants called "sizing".
Regarding warp yarns, if some can be used without particular treatment, in particular when they have received sufficient twist or a specific treatment, such as an interlacing treatment in the case of yarns with continuous filaments, it is well known that to resist the stresses due to friction during the weaving operation, that after warping, the ply of threads must receive a sizing treatment carried out simultaneously on all of the warp threads by passing inside a bath of suitable composition making it possible, on the one hand, to agglomerate the elementary strands of the yarns, without however harming their elasticity so as to have good resistance to friction and to the variations in tension imposed on the loom, and on the other hand, which allows the threads to be properly lubricated to improve their sliding characteristics during the weaving phase. Such a gluing operation is delicate to carry out, complicates the manufacturing cycle and therefore involves two successive phases of winding the web of warp yarns, one during the actual warping, the second which consists of unwinding the tablecloth previously warped during the sizing operation to return it, after sizing, on the beam intended to be mounted on the loom.
To overcome these drawbacks, it has been proposed for decades, as is apparent from French patents 687,510, 394,862, and possibly Swiss patent 107,592, to make the sizing directly on the weaving machine.
These solutions proposed previously are however difficult to implement effectively taking into account that the sizing operation is carried out in a reduced space and that it is not really possible to impregnate a chain in the mass by simply passing it over a roller or in a liquid container.
Now we have found, and this is what is the subject of the present invention, an improved weaving process which makes it possible to produce articles the warp of which consists in particular of fiber yarns, and for which the weaving is carried out directly from a warping beam without having to perform a prior gluing operation.
D'une manière générale, le procédé conforme à l'invention consiste :In general, the process according to the invention consists:
- à réaliser une chaîne ourdie comportant le nombre total de fils correspondant à l'article à réaliser, et ce directement sur une ensouple adaptable sur le métier à tisser ;- to make a warped warp comprising the total number of threads corresponding to the article to be produced, and this directly on a beam adaptable on the loom;
- puis, à partir d'une telle ensouple, à former de manière conventionnelle un tissu par :- then, from such a beam, to form a fabric in a conventional manner by:
The method according to the invention is characterized in that a chain gluing operation is carried out immediately after the ply of warp threads has been called up from the storage beam, and before passing around the detour roller bringing it into the horizontal plane, said sizing or sizing operation being carried out by separating the warp threads into two elementary layers, each layer being treated independently of one another and receiving a sizing liquid, gluing or gluing by licking by passing over a roller partially submerged in a liquid bath. After the liquid has been deposited, the warp ply is subjected to a drying treatment carried out immediately downstream of the impregnation zone, and before the warp yarns reach the level of the detour roller of the weaving loom forming the entrance to the weaving plan itself.
Preferably, in accordance with the invention, the two elementary plies are obtained by selecting one thread out of two from the set of warp threads intended to constitute the fabric.
The implementation of the process according to the invention is obtained by a simple adaptation of a conventional weaving loom by adapting to the entry of said loom a removable module comprising all the means making it possible to carry out the treatment in accordance with invention.
In order to separate the chain son ply into two elementary plies, said ply comprises at each of its ends a "spine" making it possible to obtain, without any particular adaptation, the separation of all the warp son into two elementary plies in the treatment area.
L'invention et les avantages qu'elle apporte sera cependant mieux comprise grâce à l'exemple de réalisation qui suit, donné à titre indicatif mais non limitatif, et qui est illustré par les schémas annexés dans lesquels :Consequently, taking into account that during the impregnation operation, the number of warp threads is divided by two compared to the total number necessary to make the fabric and that the two plies are treated separately, the threads are impregnated much more regularly. The two elementary layers are then brought together before entering the weaving machine. The invention and the advantages which it brings will however be better understood thanks to the embodiment which follows, given by way of indication but not limitation, and which is illustrated by the appended diagrams in which:
. la figure 1 est une vue schématique, de côté, montrant l'alimentation en chaîne d'un métier à tisser adapté pour mettre en œuvre le procédé conforme à l'invention ;. Figure 1 is a schematic side view showing the chain feed of a weaving loom adapted to implement the method according to the invention;
• la figure 2 est une vue de détail montrant la manière dont est réalisée la séparation de la nappe de chaîne en deux nappes élémentaires ;• Figure 2 is a detail view showing the manner in which the separation of the chain ply into two elementary plies is carried out;
To make the fabric, in a conventional manner, a warped chain is produced comprising the total number of threads (1) corresponding to the article to be produced, and this directly on a beam, designated by the general reference (2), mounted on the loom.
Referring to Figure 1 attached, the method according to the invention is implemented on a conventional weaving loom suitable for its implementation.
Pour la réalisation du tissu, à partir de l'ensouple (2), on procède de manière conventionnelle par :For the production of the fabric, starting from beam (2), the procedure is conventional:
In a known manner, and this is not shown in FIG. 1, the warp threads kept flat are therefore brought to the means allowing the formation of the crowd, means constituted by heddles comprising eyelets for guiding the warp thread . The shed being formed, the weft thread is introduced and then threshing is carried out by means of a comb against the face of the fabric produced, fabric which after passing around an exit detour roll, is returned under the shape of a roll. According to the invention, immediately after calling up the ply of threads (1) from their storage beam, and before passing around the detour roller (3), the ply of warp threads (1) is divided in two elementary layers (la, lb). These two elementary layers (la, lb) pass over two similar treatment assemblies, making it possible to deposit around each warp yarn a composition for sizing, drawing, or even sizing, making it possible to agglomerate the elementary strands by lubricating them.
In a simple manner, as can be seen from FIG. 2, the division of the ply of warp threads (1) into two elementary plies (la, lb) is carried out by providing at each end of the warped chain spines (3a, 3b; 4a, 4b) also making it possible to obtain directly on the loom two elementary plies comprising the same number of wires.
Pour réaliser l'opération d'ensimage ou d'encollage, de préférence on utilise deux ensembles similaires montés en aval du rouleau de détour (5) prévu immédiatement à la sortie de l'ensouple (2).To carry out the sizing or sizing operation, preferably two similar assemblies are used mounted downstream of the detour roller (5) provided immediately at the exit of the beam (2).
Each of these assemblies, designated by the same references, comprises, mounted on a frame, said detour roller (5) and two impregnation systems designated by the general reference (6).
Each impregnation system comprises a tank containing the liquid (sizing or sizing), liquid which is deposited on the wires by tangential contact against immersed rollers (7).
An additional means can be used to ensure the drying of the sheet after impregnation.
Such drying can for example be carried out simply in the open air, an additional adjustable roller being provided between the assembly for depositing the sizing product and the detour roller (3). When the threads of the two elementary layers (la, lb) are dry, they are brought together in the form of a single sheet (1) which is brought to the level of the weaving area proper.
As shown in Figure 3, one of the main advantages of the process according to the invention, is to allow to halve the son during the impregnation phase, which allows to obtain a better distribution of the sizing liquid.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment given above, but it covers all the variants produced in the same spirit.
