Abstract

Diese Erfindung betrifft einen Neurostimulator mit neuartigen Applikationseinrichtungen. Bei einer Ausführungsform wird die Applikationseinrichtung durch eine zumindest teilweise implantierbare Kanüle gebildet, durch die gegeneinander isolierte Drähte bis in ein zu stimulierendes Nervengewebe geschoben werden. Die Drähte sind an den Enden vorzugsweise abisoliert, so dass sie Applikationselektroden bilden. In einer anderen Ausführungsform umfasst die Applikationseinrichtung eine Netzelektrode. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung Neurostimulatoren, die aufgrund von Signalen angeschlossener Sensoren die Stimulation steuern. Die angeschlossenen Sensoren können EMG- oder EEG-Signale messen und insbesondere elektrische Signale am Gleichgewichtsorgan abgreifen. Bei den Sensoren kann es sich ferner um ein Mikrofon, drucksensitive Schuheinlagen, Goniometer, Beschleunigungssensoren oder Drehratensensoren handeln. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung einen Neurostimulator sowie ein entsprechendes Steuergerät, mit Hilfe dessen im Neurostimulator ein Signalverlauf mit mehr als einem Impuls pro Periode oder ein aperiodischer Signalverlauf eingestellt werden können. Schließlich betrifft diese Erfindung ein Datenübertragungsverfahren von einem Steuergerät zu einem Neurostimulator.
