Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de stockage de courant et de génération électrique. Ledit dispositif comprend un volant massif présentant un moyeu supportant le volant et permettant sa rotation autour d'un axe. Au moins un moteur est placé sur le moyeu pour entraîner le volant autour de l'axe. Des batteries alimentées par une source extérieure telle que des cellules solaires ou des éoliennes fournissent du courant aux batteries et aux moteurs. Des éléments de génération électrique présents dans une cavité intérieure du volant génèrent du courant électrique destiné à être fourni par l'intermédiaire de bagues collectrices situées au niveau du moyeu à au moins un élément extérieur. Le volant a une forme d'aile présentant deux surfaces qui convergent vers un bord périphérique entourant le volant. Dans des conceptions plus importantes, l'équilibrage du volant peut être obtenu par commande gyroscopique.
