Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant d'accéder à des dispositifs de façon uniforme. Le procédé peut consister à recevoir au moins une demande de haut niveau se rapportant à au moins un dispositif désigné parmi une pluralité de dispositifs d'un programme d'application, à traduire la demande de haut niveau en une ou plusieurs demandes de bas niveau, et à communiquer la ou les demandes de bas niveau à un logiciel de pilotage associé à un ou plusieurs dispositifs. Le procédé peut consister également à recevoir un message à bas niveau d'un dispositif, à traduire le message de bas niveau en un message de haut niveau, et à envoyer le message de haut niveau au programme d'application qui a envoyé la demande de haut niveau. Le système peut comprendre un processeur et une mémoire couplés à un bus, un programme d'application, et un multiplexeur pour envoyer les demandes du programme d'application à une pluralité de logiciels de pilotage pour les dispositifs correspondants, et afin d'envoyer au logiciel d'application les informations reçues des logiciels de pilotage concernant les dispositifs.
