Abstract

The invention relates to a folding box (10), comprising eight sidewall elements (12.1 to 12.8) that can be folded into an octagonal peripheral contour by means of sidewall folding lines (14.1 to 14.8), an octagonal lid (62) formed by means of a folding line (72.5) and a bottom device (16) formed by means of folding lines (18.1 to 18.8). The invention is characterized in the said bottom device (16) is automatically folded when the folding box (10) is folded.
