Abstract

The present invention relates to an air gap sheet comprising at least a planar surface and at least a distance means, whereby it comprises a planar sheet (1) provided with a number of folding lines (2, 3,4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13), which are intended to form one or more distance means, two planar coinciding surfaces, and two fastening outer folds on either side of the planar sheet, as well as a fixation means (17) keeping the distance means together .

DESCRIPTION
Technical field
The present invention relates to an air gap sheet to be used to create an air gap between a roof and the isolation of a house bodies, such as bungalows and other building production provided with roof isolation.
The object of the present invention is to obtain a simplified air gap skeet, which can be manufactured in a rational way, and be used in a rational way, as well.
Background of the invention
Often, an air gap between a roof and isolation is created by a sheet material, such as Masonite® or corrugated cardboard is nailed onto lathes which form a distance element towards the roof, cf. FIG. 1.
EP-A-0 026 178 describes a distance means to be placed between two roof rafters to the formation of air gaps, whereby the distance means consists of a sheet having been folded to form a number of folds, which at the application are pressed together to planar distance means and whereby the sheet has been extended at its outer borders to provide fastening surfaces to said rafters.
US-A-4,977,714 describes an air gap sheet intended for roof ventilation and consisting, of a folded sheet of cardboard, which furthermore has been provided with a number of through-going openings to create a possibility for air to pass between the air ways formed by the foldings.
WO 92/08854 describes an air gap sheet consisting of a double folded cardboard, whereby one part thereof has a shorter width than the other, so that, when the sheet is drawn out, the shorter width is stretched to fit in between two rafters and to support an isolation sheet placed against this shorter part of the air gap sheet.
The known air gap sheets according to above are complicated and involve complicated manufacturing conditions and increased costs. Thus there is a requirement for a simplified air gap sheet.
Description of the present invention
It has now turned out possible to be able to solve this problem by means of the present invention, which is characterized in that it comprises a planar sheet provided with a number of folding lines, which are intended to form one or more distance means, two planar coinciding surfaces, and two fastening outer folds on either side of the planar sheet, as well as a fixation means keeping the distance means together.
By means of the present invention a simple air gap sheet is provided which can be manufactured in lengths comprising a number of modules, whereby one or more modules are adapted to a length of a roof. The total air gap sheet may suitably be folded into these module units, cf. FIG. 4.
The present invention will now be described more in detail in the following with reference to the attached drawing, wherein

FIG. 7 shows a cross-section of another preferred embodiment, comprising a distance means having a quadratic cross-section.
1 denotes a planar sheet provided with twelve longitudinal folding lines 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13. The sheet 1 is provided with folding lines 14, 15 across its longitudinal direction. The sheet 1 is manufactured of corrugated cardboard, compressed pa perboard/card board, a polymer, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, or another suitable polymer.
The sheet 1 is folded along its folding lines 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, 9, 10, 11 to the formation of two triangular distance means. At the outer border the sheet 1 is folded along the folding lines 2, 3, and 12, 13, respectively, to form two folds having suitable the same height as the triangular distance means and suitable with an outer flap 16, cf. FIG. 5, arranged to be able to be fastened to a rafter/crossbar, cf. FIG. 2. Further, the invention comprises a fixation means 17 comprising a substantially form stable unit, suitably made of a polymer, consisting of a triangular body 18 having three continuous sides having an open tip and two side surfaces 19, and 20, respectively. The triangular form of the unit is adapted to be able to bring the unit over the triangular distance means formed by the folding lines 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, 9, 10, 11 for holding these together and fix them together.
When using the air gap sheet according to the present invention a suitable length is removed being adapted to the length of the roof (corner nock top to the roof eaves) being needed and is folded after its respective folding lines, on one hand to form the triangular distance means, which are fixed by bringing a suitable number of fixation means 17 there over, cf. FIG. 6, suitably in connection to the cross going folds 14 and 15. When using a module length the fixation means are mounted in vicinity of the edges of the sheet. The folding at the outer border may have three purposes, viz. on one hand to form an outer flap 16 to facilitate adaptation to a varied distance between rafters, where the folds can adjust to such variations, to keep the distance between the sheet and the outer roof, and to fasten it to a rafter.
The longitudinal folding lines can be designed in such a way that one may, for example, create a quadratic distance means. In such a case the fixation means will also form a quadrate/rectangle. Such a shape is shown in FIG. 7. Other designs of the distance means and thereby also the fixation means of the distance means are pentagonal and hexagonal, and where the fixation means also here provides a pinch around the distance means formed by means of a number of folding lines.

Claims

1. Air gap sheet comprising at least a planar surface and at least a distance means, characterized in that it comprises a planar sheet (1) provided with a number of folding lines (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13), which are intended to form one or more distance means, two planar coinciding surfaces, and two fastening outer folds on either side of the planar sheet, as well as a fixation means (17) keeping the distance means together.
2. Air gap sheet according to claim 1, characterized in that the folding lines (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) are arranged to form at least one distance means having a triangular cross-section.
3. Air gap sheet according to claim 1, characterized in that the folding lines (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) are arranged to form at least one distance means having a quadratic cross-section.
4. Air gap sheet according to claim 1, characterized in that the fixation means is adapted to the geometry of the distance means.
5. Air gap sheet according to claim 1, characterized in that the sheet (1) is made of corrugated cardboard.
6. Air gap sheet according to claim 1, characterized in that the sheet (1) is made of compressed paperboard/cardboard.
7. Air gap sheet according to claim 1, characterized in that the sheet (1) is made of a polymer.
8. Air gap sheet according to claim 1, characterized in that the air gap sheet is made of a combination of materials according to claims 7,
8, and 9.
9. Air gap sheet according to claim 1, characterized in that the fixation means is made of polymer, metal and/or wood.
