Description

MENSTRUALCYCLEMULTI CALENDAR
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a menstrual cycle multi calendar that helps women who will be able to be pregnant easily calculate a period of their contraception or pregnancy during their menstrual cycle on the basis upon their own natural menstrual cycle pattern.
Background Art Generally, women who want to avoid pregnancy or have a baby or babies have to calculate the dates on a general paper calendar in a very inconvenient way.
There have been proposed conventionally developed menstrual cycle calendars with which women can calculate their own period during which they can be pregnant according to their menstrual cycle. The conventional menstrual cycle calendars have been disclosed in Korean Utility Model Registration Nos. 178594 and 184539 filed by the inventor of the present invention.
The menstrual cycle calendar, first, which is disclosed in Korean Utility Model Registration No. 178594, includes a basic plate with a menstrual cycle display part formed on the both sides thereof, and a generally disc type of rotary plate with a transparent window formed on the center portion thereof, through which the menstrual cycle display part is seen and with a date display part on which dates between 1st and 30th or between 1st and 31st are indicated on the outer peripheral surface thereof, the rotary plate attached by means of a fixing pin on the both sides of the basic plate. Moreover, the menstrual cycle calendar, which is disclosed in Korean Utility Model Registration No. 184539, includes a basic plate on which a menstrual period start line, a menstrual period and the menstrual cycles between 24 days and 32 days are indicated on the both sides thereof, a first rotary plate on which a pregnancy caution period, a sperm survival period, and an ovulation period are indicated on the both sides thereof, and a second rotary plate that has a date display part on which dates between 1st and 30th or between 1st and 31st are indicated on the outer peripheral surface thereof, the first and second rotary plates each attached by means of a fixing pin on the both sides of the basic plate.
However, the conventionally used menstrual cycle calendars are not useful to women with various menstrual cycles, so that to solve this problem, they should be manufactured by the menstrual cycles. Therefore, if menstrual cycles between 26 days and 30 days are indicated on the cycle display part of a basic plate, as shown in FIG. 1 that will be discussed below, the period during which pregnancy is possible can be calculated accurately with just a single rotary plate irrespective of the various menstrual cycles.
Disclosure of Invention
To solve the above-described problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a menstrual cycle multi calendar that can easily check a menstrual cycle in a dial-turning fashion, can attach a rotary plate with a date display part on which dates between 1st and 31st and between 1st and 20th are displayed to the one side of a basic plate and can make menstrual cycles between 26 days and 30 days indicated on a menstrual cycle display part of the basic plate, such that if women have their own regular menstrual cycle in the menstrual cycles, they can easily calculate their period during which pregnancy is possible, whereby the production cost of the calendar can be reduced and the degree of utilization of the calendar can be increased.
To accomplish this and other objects of the present invention, there is provided a menstrual cycle multi calendar, which includes: a basic plate with a menstrual cycle display part formed on the one side thereof, on which a menstrual period, a pregnancy caution period, a sperm survival period, an ovulation period, a next menstrual period, and menstrual cycles between 26 days and 30 days are indicated; a generally disc type of rotary plate with a transparent window on the center portion thereof, through which the menstrual cycle display part is seen, and with a date display part on which dates between 1st and 31st and between 1st and 20th are indicated on the outer peripheral surface thereof; and a fixing pin for rotatably securing the rotary plate on the basic plate.
Brief Description of the Drawings Further objects and advantages of the invention can be more fully
understood from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the
accompanying drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 is a top view of a menstrual cycle multi calendar according to the present invention; FIG. 2 is a rear view of the menstrual cycle multi calendar according to the present invention;
FIG. 3 is a side view of the menstrual cycle multi calendar according to the present invention;
FIG. 4 is a bottom view of the menstrual cycle multi calendar according to the present invention; and FIG. 5 is an exploded perspective view of the menstrual cycle multi calendar according to the present invention.
Best mode for Carrying Out the Invention Now, an explanation of the preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 is a top view of a menstrual cycle multi calendar according to the present invention, FIG. 2 is a rear view of the menstrual cycle multi calendar according to the present invention, FIG. 3 is a side view of the menstrual cycle multi calendar according to the present invention, FIG. 4 is a bottom view of the menstrual cycle multi calendar according to the present invention, and FIG. 5 is an exploded perspective view of the menstrual cycle multi calendar according to the present invention.
As shown, a menstrual cycle multi calendar according to the present invention includes a basic plate 10 with a menstrual cycle display part 11 formed on the one side thereof, on which a menstrual period, a pregnancy caution period, a sperm survival period, an ovulation period, a next menstrual period, and menstrual cycles between 26 days to 30 days are indicated; a generally disc type of rotary plate 20 with a transparent window 22 on the center portion thereof, through which the menstrual cycle display part 11 is seen, and with a date display part 21 on which dates between 1st and 31st and between 1st and 20th are indicated on the outer peripheral surface thereof; and a fixing pin 30 for rotatably securing the rotary plate on 20 the basic plate 10.
According to the present invention, a user first selects her own menstrual cycle from the menstrual cycles between 26 days and 30 days on the basic plate 10, and after that, she calculates a period during which pregnancy is possible in simple and convenient manners, while rotating the rotary plate 20 on which the dates between 1st and 31st and between 1st and 20th are indicated.
The calculation of the dates is based upon the menstrual cycles for the last one year and the last menstrual period start date. This is obtained from Ogino's theory.
According to the present invention, the menstrual cycles between 26 days and 30 days are indicated on the menstrual cycle display part 11 of the basic plate 10, and dates can be calculated regardless of the menstrual cycles. This enables the production cost of the calendar to be reduced and also enables the degree of utilization of the calendar to be increased.
For example, in more detail, if woman has a generally regular menstrual cycle of 28 days for the last one year and starts her menstrual period on the 1st of this month, she selects the menstrual cycle of 28 days from the menstrual cycles indicated on the menstrual cycle display part 11 and corresponds the first on the menstrual cycle of 28 days indicated on the menstrual cycle display part 11. As a result, it can be checked that the period during which she can be pregnant is between 10th and 17th and between 8th and 19th. As another example of this, if woman has a generally regular menstrual cycle of 30 days for the last one year and starts her menstrual period on the 1st of this month, she selects the menstrual cycle of 30 days from the menstrual cycles indicated on the menstrual cycle display part 11 and corresponds the first on the menstrual cycle of 30 days indicated on the menstrual cycle display part 11.
If the month where the menstrual period starts is an even month, the dates on the outside of the date display part 21 and the dates on the inside thereof are used at the same time, and to the contrary, if the month where the menstrual period starts is an odd month, the dates only on the outside of the date display part 21 are used. However, the calculation may be somewhat inconvenient on February having 28 or 29 days.
Industrial applicability
As set forth in the foregoing, there is provided a menstrual cycle multi calendar that can easily check a menstrual cycle in a dial-turning fashion and can be carried with a user's pocketbook without any difficulty. Furthermore, the calendar according to the present invention can attach a calendar for one month on which dates between 1st and 31st and between 1st and 20th are indicated to the one side thereof, thereby avoiding complicate calculation, and can be used for all women having the menstrual cycles between 26 days and 30 days. Therefore, this calendar can enable women who want to avoid their pregnancy or to have a baby or babies to calculate the dates therefor in more easy and convenient ways.
While the present invention has been described with reference to a few specific embodiments, the description is illustrative of the invention and is not to be construed as limiting the invention. Various modifications may occur to those skilled in the art without departing from the true spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
