Abstract

The invention relates to an electronic circuit and a method for communication with at least two chip cards via a chip card interface (7) and a chip card interface (8), and respectively with an analog interface (9) provided with a USART module (4) for communication via one of the two chipcard interfaces, whereby said module can be selectively connected to one of the two interfaces (7) or (8) by means of a port transfer switch (6). Both interfaces can be supplied with voltage by means of the analog interface (9), independently from selection via the port transfer switch (6), whereby it is possible to enable communication to be switched from one interface to the other in a short amount of time.
