Description

AN APPARATUS FOR SETTING THE DIRECTION AND THE
ANGLE OF AN ANTENNA
Field of the invention
The present invention relates to an
apparatus for setting the direction and the
angle of a satellite antenna. Especially in the
present invention, an apparatus for setting the
direction and the angle of an antenna is
disclosed to make it easy set, fix and alter
the direction and the angle of the antenna
without any special tools because
horizontal/vertical angle scales and indicators
are fixed on the apparatus.
Background of the invention
Prior arts of an apparatus for setting the
direction and the angle of an antenna had flaws
that they needed separate mechanic or
electronic tools and the system volume became
bigger and their manufacturing cost rose. In addition, the installation of the
apparatus and taking them to pieces needed
separate special tools and therefore it was
general for experts to install them and take
them to pieces and substantially it was
scarcely possible to change their position
after their installation.
Moreover, according to the antenna's
characteristics, the needs to arbitrarily set
the direction and the angle of the antenna
occurs frequently but in that case, it was a
flaw too that it could be done only by experts.
Especially in the nations with wide areas
like U.S.A. there are many cable TV channels
and it requires enormous money to connect the
subscribers via cable. Accordingly, it is more
economical and general to use satellite antenna
actually. However, it was not easy to set the
direction and the angle of the satellite
antenna.
In addition, for the screen image status of the satellite broadcasting received via the
satellite antenna is cleaner than the screen
image status received via general wired-cable,
it is expected that in the future the needs for
the satellite antenna will increase gradually.
Moreover at the same time the necessity for an
apparatus that can set the direction and the
angle of the antenna much easier and correctly,
is becoming greater and greater.

Objectives of the invention and detailed
description
The present invention was invented in
order to improve the antenna setting apparatus
with flaws according to the prior arts and the
objective of the invention is to provide with
an apparatus for setting the direction and the
angle of an antenna. In the apparatus, it is
possible to easily set the reference direction
of an antenna as well as when necessary, the
direction and the angle of the antenna only
with the apparatus for setting antenna
according to the present invention without any
special tools, and also when installing it and
taking it to pieces, anyone can do it easily
for a short time without separate tools.
The other objectives of the invention will become more apparent if reading the following
detailed description of the invention and
referencing the attached drawings.
Now we will explain about the organization
and the operational principles of the apparatus
for setting the direction and the angle of an
antenna according to the present invention
detailedly by referencing figures 1 and 2 in
order to achieve the objectives of the
invention.
The antenna setting apparatus of the
invention consists of a header part (10) that
is coupled to a satellite antenna, a supporting
pole (40) to support the header part, and a
supporting part (50) to fix the supporting pole
to the floor surface by setting up the
supporting pole safely.
The header part (10) has a flat surface,
and forms multiple holes to penetrate the flat
surface, and has an antenna installation part
(11) that combines with the antenna fixedly by a fastening means like a screw through the
holes .
The frame part (16) for vertically setting
angle is organized to wholly form " π " type or
two " i- "types is facing each other or backing
onto each other (hereafter we call them "tz-type
organization"), and the corresponding sides of
two parties have an arc-shaped organization,
and on the sharp corner part multiple of
penetration holes are formed to combine with
the supporting pole, and at the corresponding
position of the inner part of each arc-shaped
surface a penetration groove (14) is formed
according to the circumference, and the central
surface (15) of the Xc-type organization"
combines with the antenna installation part
fixedly.
The frame part for horizontally setting
angle (22) has a ""t-type organization", and
combines with the top end part of the
supporting pole fixedly, and the direction of the corner part (17) which the two "~ι-type"
surfaces meet and form, is laid out to form the
shape inserted into the "c-type" inner side of
the frame part for vertically setting angle
(16) . And the frame part for vertically setting
angle (16) combines with the upper corner
supporting part fixedly via a screw, wherein
the groove of the screw (not illustrated)
having constant depth on the position
corresponding to the penetration hole (13) of
the frame part (16) which was formed in order
to combine with the supporting pole among the
corner part (17) . The penetration hole (18) is
formed to penetrate the side of the end part of
a surface having "~ι-type" organization, wherein
a screw groove (not illustrated) is formed in
the penetration hole, and so it is possible to
set the horizontal or vertical angle of an
antenna by fastening or loosening the screw
fastening means (19) . And the penetration hole
(20) is formed at the end of the other surface having "π-type organization", wherein the
penetration hole penetrates the side of the end
part of the surface. And the screw fastening
means (21) combines with the penetration hole
and the penetration groove (14), which the
groove is formed according to the circumference
of the frame part for vertically setting the
angle. And fastening or loosening the screw
fastening means can set the antenna' s vertical
and horizontal angle.
At this time, one of two surfaces
consisting of the "~ι-type organization" of the
frame part (22) of horizontally setting angle
combines with the screw fastening means (19) to
set the horizontal angle of an antenna forms a
groove (23), which penetrates from outer toward
inner direction with a constant width as long
as certain length completely, and the
penetration groove (23) is formed as long as
the length that passes the penetration holes in
the direction perpendicular to the penetration holes (18) formed in order to combine with the
screw fastening means (19) for horizontally
setting angle of an antenna.
And the screw fastening means (19) for
horizontally setting the angle of an antenna
has a form so that on the outer surface a screw
thread is formed, and the screw fastening means
(21) for vertically setting the angle of an
antenna combines with a screwhead (25) that is
greater than the width of the penetration
groove (14) formed along the arc-shaped surface
of the frame part for vertically setting the
angle of an antenna, and wherein a screw thread
is formed on the outer surface, and on the end
part of the other side is a rotating handle
(26), which can be attached to anything and
removed from it.
On the other hand, a compass frame having
a compass to set the reference direction of an
antenna is formed on the upper surface, which
combines with a screw fastening means (19) to horizontally set the angle of an antenna among
two surfaces that is forming "π-type
organization" of the frame part for
horizontally setting the angle. And the
reference mark (29) is formed on a side of the
compass frame and it is preferable that a
horizontal azimuth display (30) is formed on
the top surface of the frame part for
horizontally setting the angle in front of the
reference mark (29) so that the reference mark
can indicate
And it is preferable that a vertical angle
scale display (31) is installed to indicate the
angle according to the vertical setting of an
antenna on the surface, which forms the arc-
shaped organization of the frame part for
vertically setting the angle.
And it is preferable that for the easy
assemble the supporting pole is separated into
a header connecting pole (41) connected to a
header part (10) and a simple pole (42) for attaching combination so as to combine with
each other, and in the supporting part (50)
multiple penetration holes (not illustrated)
are formed and they can be combined with the
floor surface via a fastening means.
An apparatus for setting an antenna
according to the present invention has a merit
that it is possible to easily set the reference
direction as well as the direction and the
angle of an antenna for a short time when
necessary, without any further tools for the
direction and the angle of an antenna only by
using the antenna setter. And it is possible to
finish it without any special tools for a short
time easily when installing and removing it.
The present invention can be modified
variously and has various forms and at the
above detailed specification only a special
embodiment was described. However it should be
understood that the present invention is not
restricted to the form described at the above specification and so much as contains all the
modifications, equivalents and substitutions
defined by the attached claims and being in the
spirit and the scope of the present invention,
