Definitions
- the present invention relates to a kiosk system using a construction technology of a combined medical information and financial information system, a networking technology, an electronic authentication technology, and an Internet related technology.
- CD Cash Dispenser
- a card product which serves medical treatment record, prescription record and a credit card function by only one card, has been disclosed, but it has not been effectively used because of a number of hospitals and credit card companies.
- lots of people carry a medical information card, which contains medical prescription information, and a financial service card, which the patient mainly uses as card settlement means, separately.
- the medical prescription information contains personal record and medical treatment record of the patient, but is transferred by a secret code of a low level less than 128 bits, but not encryption or electronic authentication, after the prescription statement search and the prescription search of the patient by a simple numbering system operated in the hospital.
- the present invention provides a kiosk system including a medical prescription related system and a financial service system.
- a patient can see medical treatment record and prescription record of the patient through patient authentication, which is an indirect ID code directly or indirectly created by the third party, for the issue of the prescription and payment of medical treatment and medicine costs after a doctor examined and treated the patient, and then, selects a desired drug store, to which the patient wants to transfer the prescription.
- patient authentication is an indirect ID code directly or indirectly created by the third party
- the patient selectively uses a payment service of the medical treatment and medicine costs through personal authentication in connection with financial services.
- the medical prescription related system prints the paper type prescription.
- the financial service system allows the patient to use a cash depositing and withdrawing service, a transfer account service, and a credit card service only through financial authentication.
- FIG. 1 is a block diagram illustrating the construction of a kiosk system for Internet-based prescription issue and financial service according to the present invention
- FIG. 2 is a flow chart illustrating medical and financial services according to the patient authentication related to medical treatment and personal authentication related to financial service of the kiosk system;
- FIG. 3 is a front view of the corresponding kiosk terminal for patient of the kiosk system.
- FIG. 1 is a block diagram of a kiosk system for an Internet-based prescription issue and financial terminal service according to the present invention.
- the kiosk system for automatically transferring the medical prescription after the separation of pharmacy and clinic has a kiosk terminal management server 1-4, and the server 1-4 is operatively connected to the existing hospital information system 1-5. Moreover, the kiosk terminal management server 1-4 is operatively connected to a kiosk prescription terminal group 1-3 for patients. Therefore, the system displays financial information and prescription information suitable for authentication type on a kiosk terminal screen when the patient accesses the system using a personal authentication 1-2, and prints the medical prescription when the patient uses a medical service.
- the doctor inputs information of medical treatment and prescription into a hospital information server 1-5.
- the information is automatically transferred to the kiosk prescription terminal management server 1- 4 in the hospital.
- the patient 1-1 checks a medical treatment and prescription record 1-3B, which is display on the kiosk terminal 1-3, through the kiosk terminal 1-3 in the hospital using a personal authentication 1-2. After that, the patient determines settlement of medical costs using a personal financial authentication 1-2A, and then, transfers the prescription information 1-3B to an external prescription transfer server 1-6 connected to a drug store. After that, the kiosk system automatically provides the medical prescription to the patient by printing the prescription statement and payment, and an indirect ID of the patient.
- the kiosk prescription terminal management server 1-4 creates a patient DB according to direct and indirect ID code by patient, and then, accumulatively stores all medical treatment and medication records in the corresponding patient DB according to the corresponding direct and indirection ID code of the patient.
- the drug store can refer to a clinical history or medical treatment results of the patient, who visits the drug store, using a terminal in the drug store. At this time, the medication information is described and uploaded by a pharmacist.
- the central management server 1-4 in the hospital which is adapted to a system for electronic prescription transfer and print, is operatively connected to: the patent DB for storing and updating medical treatment records of the patient, which have been processed by the server; and an external prescription transfer server 1-6 including a pharmacist authentication DB, a doctor authentication DB and a patient authentication DB to authenticate qualification of the doctor, the pharmacist and the patient and gathering prescription records of each hospital.
- FIG. 2 is a flow chart of detailed medical and financial services according to the patient authentication related to medical treatment and personal authentication related to the financial service.
- the patient selects either a financial service or a medical service from the kiosk terminal, and then, accesses the selected service through the corresponding authentication.
- the system displays a drug store enabling medical treatment, medical prescription information and prescription transfer of the patient, and the patient selects a desired drug store.
- the patient determines whether or not to pay the medical treatment costs and medicine costs through a personal financial authentication.
- the financial service is terminated, the medical prescription is printed and provided to the patient.
- FIG. 3 is a front view of the kiosk terminal for patient.
- the terminal After checking the type of each authentication of a card, which contains the personal authentication of the patient, through a card reader 3-6, the terminal displays the corresponding service mode on the display screen. If necessary, the patient inputs necessary information through a key pad input part.
- the system includes a CD (Cash Dispenser) 3-5 for cash depositing and withdrawing service. After the check of the prescription statement and designation of the corresponding drug store, the system recognizes the available period of the card, prints the medical prescription through a prescription printer 3-2 connected to a controller, and then, discharges the medical prescription through a medical prescription outlet 3-1.
- CD Cash Dispenser
- the present invention can maximize a service effect for patients by simultaneously performing payment of medical treatment costs and medicine costs, a financial function such as deposition and withdrawal of cash, and issue and transfer of a medical prescription in a hospital.
- the kiosk system according to the present invention which is a combined terminal having both the financial and medical prescription functions, can largely reduce initial invested costs as compared with separated expensive kiosk terminal systems needing lots of waiting time, and therefore, a bank located in the hospital can manage the system.
- the hospital and the bank can effectively operate and manage the combined system, which has the two service functions, in an terms of time and space.
- the kiosk system according to the present invention can maximize a use effect of facilities in the hospital and service effects for patients.
