Abstract

A method for catalyzing reactions of aryl-thiols and aryl-thioesters with water, alcohol or carboxylic acid using an enyzme or microorganism leading to the hydrolysis, esterification or trans-esterification or these compounds, which is particularly useful as a step in anchoring a self-assembled monolayer to a metal substrate.
