Abstract

An apparatus and method are provided for performing genetic analyses in a client-server environment over a data network. The apparatus includes a data server and an analysis engine. The data server stores genetic micro array data sets corresponding to a plurality of users. The analysis engine is coupled to the data server. The analysis engine acquires the genetic micro array data sets for storage, and performs the genetic analyses on the genetic micro array data sets, and provides results of the genetic analyses. The results are provided to corresponding user computers over a data network, where the corresponding user computers employ a thin web client application to configure the genetic analyses and to receive the results.
