Abstract

The present invention relates to a multifunctional shower characterised by the fact that the bearing structure incorporates a fixed shower head with variable jet located above the user's head, one or more hydromassage nozzles, one or more nebulisation nozzles, a mobile shower head with flexible hose and one or more watertight spot lights actuated by a safety pneumatic switch, it being provided that the fixed shower head, the hydromassage nozzles, the nebulisation nozzles and the mobile shower head are fed by means of a tap with the interposition of a suitable 4-way switch.

Description

Description
Multifunctional shower
The present patent application relates to a multifunctional shower, preferably for outdoor use, being preferably installed on the beach or near a swimming pool.
The invention has been devised in order to innovate a sector that has been standardised on traditional offers, providing final users with a wider and more diversified range of functions than traditional showers.
Apart from supplying a water jet from a fixed shower head located above the user, traditional showers only offer the possibility of changing the quantity and configuration of the water jet. Beside providing the typical functions of traditional showers, the new device of the invention offers diversified unusual functions that convert it into an "hybrid" device that combines the characteristics of a shower, a fountain, an hydromassage, a water sprayer, a lighting fixture and a furniture piece.
The invention consists in a bearing structure shaped as a fork or a portal that supports a traditional fixed shower head with variable water jet. The bearing structure contains a mobile shower head with flexible hose under the traditional tap, which can be used for children (being the fixed shower head too high for them) or to wash legs and trunk of taller users who do not want to take a complete shower. The presence of the flexible hose allows the user to handle and direct the mobile shower head as he/she desires.
The bearing structure of the new shower of the invention is also provided with some vertically aligned nozzles capable of emitting high pressure water jets with horizontal direction in order to hit the body of the user with some strength, preferably between thighs and shoulders, thus providing hydromassage function.
In case of fork-shaped bearing structure the water jets hit the user's body on one side only; in case of portal-shaped bearing structure hydromassage nozzles can be applied on both sides of the structures in order to hit the user from both sides.
The horizontal section of the bearing structure of the shower of the invention is provided with one or more nebulisation nozzles with high water pulverisation capacity that create a sort of fog which has a beneficial and corroborating function for the user, apart from a suggestive and spectacular effect.
The suggestive effect is additionally increased, especially at night, thanks to the fact that the shower of the invention is provided with quite powerful spot lights capable of "flooding" the user's body with light when the user is incorporated in the water cloud.
For major clarity the description of the invention continues with reference to the enclosed drawings, which are intended for purposes of illustration and not in a limiting sense, whereby:
- Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the shower of the invention in the "fork" version;
- Fig. 2 is a front view of the shower of the invention in the "portal" version.
In the first version shown in Fig. 1, the shower of the invention consists in a bearing structure (1) with fork shape characterised by an upright (1a) and a top crosspiece (1b) joined by means of a short inclined section (1c).
On the lower side the crosspiece (1b) is provided with a traditional fixed shower head (2) with variable water jet, one or more nebulisation nozzles (3) and one or more watertight low voltage spot lights (3a).
Apart from the traditional tap (4), the internal side of the crosspiece (1b) is provided with a mobile shower head (5) with flexible hose (5a) and hydromassage nozzles (6) capable of supplying high pressure water jets with horizontal direction. In the second version shown in Fig. 2, that is the version with portal shape, the shower of the invention consists in two uprights (10a) connected by a top crosspiece (10b) under which a traditional fixed shower head (2) with variable water jet, one or more nebulisation nozzles (3) and one or more watertight low voltage spot lights (3a) are mounted.
Internally, one of the uprights (10a) is provided with the traditional tap (4) and the mobile shower head (5) with flexible hose (5a), while the internal sides of the uprights (10a) are provided with hydromassage nozzles (6) that hit the user's body from both sides.
In both versions the shower of the invention is also provided with a 4- way switch (7) used to feed the fixed shower head (2), the hydromassage nozzles (6), the nebulisation nozzles (3) or the mobile shower head (5) with flexible hose (5a) alternatively.
Likewise, in both versions the shower of the invention is provided with a safety pneumatic switch (8) used to turn the spot lights (3a) on and off.
