Abstract

The invention relates to a positive-displacement pump, consisting of an electric motor (1), a connecting housing (2) and a pump head (3) with pump gears mounted therein. In the present embodiment, the pump is configured as an external gear pump. Depending on the corresponding configuration of the pump head, the pump can also be configured as an internal gear pump, a vane pump or a propeller pump. In order to easily change the pump head (3) or to perform repair or cleaning operations, the pump head (3) is embodied as an exchangeable assembly unit, wherein a detachable fixing device (13) is provided for fixing the pump head (3) on the pump housing (2). Said fixing can be manually detached without the aid of a tool. In the present embodiment, the fixing device is configured as a tension bracket (15), which covers the pump head (3) in the fixing position and has a knurled thumb screw (17) which is pulled manually to tension the tension bracket (15). Fixing devices having different embodiments are provided for the various example embodiments. One essential advantage of all said embodiments is that the exchange of the pump head and cleaning can be performed by a layman.
